Both the Super Tinker and Compact are great options for anyone’s EDC and are very similar in some of their tools they offer and close in size. The Super Tinker is a 3 layer knife and the Compact is a 2 layer knife but each has it’s own pros and cons. Let’s see how they compare and as always thanks for watching!
Also here’s some other KZbinrs who have some great stuff. Please check out and support them:

Nice comparison Spacecity. The compact is tough to beat for its smaller size, toolset, and accessories. Thanks for sharing.

Good little comparison there at the end although tricky to film! It confirms my own experience with and perspective on the combotool for use as a screwdriver, vs the can opener. Although not exactly the same shape, I had to use the combotool on the end of the saw on my Victorinox GAK which I unfortunately lost many years ago, on a Phillips screw on a fax machine in which the paper had jammed (shows how long ago this was!). It was doable but awkward, and would have been far easier with the can opener driver. With the backtool Phillips as well you can access recessed screws which the can opener can't so the configuration on the Super Tinker covers you for most scenarios. I generally use the can opener for odd little prying or pushing tasks though. A ringpull broke on a can of beer I was trying to open which obviously was an emergency situation lol but with the can opener I was able to push the aluminium into the hole and out of the way, and access that sweet nectar. Another odd usage is opening my small metal can / box of Old Bay Seasoning, I guess most folk use a knife to get under the edge of the lid but I can't bring myself to do that, I can get the sharp edge of the can opener under the edge of the lid and pop it open perfectly.

Yes I try to avoid using a knife tip to pry stuff. I’ll use the can opener’s tip or the larger flat tip on my SAK. I find the combo tool cumbersome for any Phillip screw that isn’t reasonably loose and prefer the can opener’s tip or of course a full phillips driver always works better. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Thank you! I like putting something to real world use if I have the opportunity just to help people understand something’s limitations or uses. I just happen to be around aircraft alot 😂Thanks for commenting and watching!

This was a very interesting comparison. And I particularly like the part where you use the different philips drivers on a tight screw because that's part of the issue, isn't it? I love the 2D philips, but only because I'm just doing random little stuff around the house, I'm not working on airplanes. And come to think of it, because I usually am carrying my Swiss champ, I usually just use the regular Phillips anyway! I think part of the issue is whether or not you are likely to lose the knife. If you're likely to lose it, then you should go super tinker all day.

Thank you! Either one is a great one to carry but if you really need a good Phillips the Compact probably would disappoint you 😔 I carry my SwissChamp at work btw in my belt sheath I discovered by watching your channel 😊and it has just about everything I need in a pinch.
