I'll never forgive Lloyd for letting this program fall. Michigan gave 2005-2007 away. As awful as Rich Rod and Hoke were, things started cracking during those final Carr years. 2006 was a charade, especially defensively. 2007 was embarrassing from the start as we know.

By the time they played Florida it was almost two months later and OSU played two number #2 teams that season the first time a team had beaten two teams that highly ranked-the lineman were bloated and out of shape and just werent ready for the team speed Florida had plus Ted Ginn rolled his ankle after returning the kickoff for a td totally changed our offensive gameplan and Troy wasnt running the ball I believe he was staying in the pocket so he could prove the draft analysts that he was going to be effective in the NFL in the pocket plus Urban really was auditioning for his dream job Ohio State

If not for that loss and the subsequent loss to LSU Ohio State would probably be a much different program these days. I think they'd otherwise be another Wisconsin - no disrespect to Badger's fans because they're a great program that has consistently developed NFL talent. I mean it in the sense that Ohio State invested in overcoming the SEC hump and it eventually paid off. After a solid run by Tressel they subsequently lured Urb back to Ohio for an undefeated season, 83-9 overall record, 7 straight conference championships, 7 wins against Michigan, a rose bowl W, the first CFP and the ability to compete with the Alabama and the rest of the SEC. The rest is history.
