Here’s a little tip for the guy without a shirt… having your shirt off in the blazing sun. Having a shirt on, will keep you cool since the sun is not hitting your skin directly and the sweat from your shirt will keep you cool. I’ve worked in roofing for many years, that’s what has helped me. That’s why you see roofers with long shirts and hats to cover them from the sun.

You all are professionals the roof looks great I’ve seen some quirky lines in shingle lines lol we all learned sometime lol any way great job guys keep the videos coming. On a positive note instead of cutting out rotten wood and patching it back found it much easier and customer seems to like it more when you replace whole sheet now at times you still have to cut in a piece

In my state, alot of roofing companies have dump trailers that lift up to the roof level. Also trucks run belts up tovthe roof to easily run supplies up. Cool to see how different areas in the country do it

Older brother has a roofing/contracting business for 45 years now.....most stores use a scissor truck to load onto roof now but I think he still has his ladder hoist he can use, but it is much slower...does not like the old hand carry method.....prone to falls and injury...but then he says you aren't a roofer until you have fallen off the roof at least once

Watching you roof actually made me miss doing it lol. Those early mornings on a roof before the sun gets too high in the sky. Cuttin up and joking around with the co workers. I loved it in the summer and hated it in the winter lol. It’s odd the shit you miss when old age and abussing your body catches up to you. Great job, Zach! I look forward to following your channel. I got a kick out of the "Victory" lines here and there and to seeing Daniel coming out to watch you and your crew (around 13:00 mark). He's the big boss of VOS, you know, so you had a guy with a good eye checking you out! I have a funny, but very expensive-for-me story to tell you. Shortly after I bought the house my daughter and I now live in, I had it inspected and all seemed great. Then about a month after we moved in, I noticed the water was dripping off all sides of the roof and the shingles were pulling up. I had a company come out and give me a very reasonable quote though they mentioned a few "soft spots". Come to find out after they pulled off all the shingles, that there was not a single sheet of plywood on my roof. None. They had nailed the ice/water shield to insulation sheets (hard ones) and the shingles on top of that. It's a miracle I didn't have any water damage in this house. Not only that, I'm so grateful no one got hurt walking around on the roof before realizing this! I could very well have been making lunch in the kitchen and have someone drop right thru the roof on the kitchen floor for crying out loud! Our house is what some Canadians refer to as a hockey stick roof line. It's a 4-level split that's taller on one end, peaks and then slopes down to the bottom end (in this case my garage). I have another funny thing I learned at this time. I am fine going up ladders, even walking on roofs (or at least a slope like mine has) but I freeze when it comes time to get onto the ladder to go down. I shook there for about 5 minutes, feeling like an idiot and then realized it was only about 8' from the low part of my garage roof to the ground. So..... I flung my legs over the edge, held onto the roof and dropped down. Far less scary than getting on a ladder from the roof, haha. Look forward to watching your videos and your channel take off. It says 10 days ago how did I miss this? With the videos Ryan makes and seeing his house in the background I didn’t think his roof was a 10/12 pitch. You guys did nice work and nice to see doing it the right way. Nice home like that and the plywood is rotted because they never extended downspout or put ice and water shield. Hopefully we’ll see you guys in the future when Ryan starts building on the new property.

Go by in the am taking them to school, foundation up come back to pick them up complete 2 story home up and sheathed. The next Monday putting next house up. Siding going on with no tyvek. This is in VA. Crazy those houses built so quick, surprised they are still standing.
