He just roams around if he isn't sleeping in the cab of his truck and waits for it to be loaded. Atleast he gets up everyday and shows up. He does more than most men do these days. Same here Ryan my dad runs a construction company out here in Oconomowoc Wisconsin and the rain has caused nothing but problems. The worst is when it rains for 10 minutes and quits for an hour and rains again lol.

Another great video - thanks. I recently found your channel and have to say it's just awesome. A friend of mine just retired from the concrete business in his late 60's. I know what he was like on the job, and after watching all of these videos, all I have to say is you are nothing like him, and that's a compliment to you. :) He'd be yelling and screaming at his help the whole day, every day, every job. Needless to say, he had a little trouble keeping employees. I get it that paying these guys is expensive, but like you say - come on.

They did a total of 4 hours of work on this job the machines did the rest. The form setting and digging out the sidewalk was the hardest part of the job (leveling the gravel I don't think is hard and it goes quick with guys who know what they're doing as you see in the timelapses). The rest they stood around earning their quarters. Of course Ryan paid them for 6-8 hours of work. When Ryan says Easy Money there is some truth to it. I'm not saying it's not hard work, and these guys earn their pay, but it's definitely not a sun up to sun down grind. For Ryan it is, because he has stuff outside of the job to do, but for them, it's, get 'er done. Ryan is such a good guy though because when they said let's try to pour it tomorrow he knew that that just means more money in his pocket. And perhaps a less good pour. Take a break at the end of the day and finish it up in a 2-3 hour pour the next, and hope the concrete truck arrives late. Ryan seems to balance his workers and his quality of work very well.
