I just started Victoza this week, never puked so much in one night. I do believe that it is a result of acute gastroparesis, which no one talks about! I already have delayed gastric emptying, but I feel this takes it to another level. I was terrified to take it today but after feeling better, I dialed down to 0.3 mg so we'll see if my stomach behaves, lol.

Helpful hint with the side effects. Take your dose at the end of the day instead of in the morning. The tummy is pretty much done with working on your last meal and is in a steadier state than if you take it in the morning. I do mine after 7PM and don't suffer the effects I had when taking it in the morning. Good luck.

Explaining how to titrate more slowly was very helpful. I dislike nausea and vomiting intensely so knowing I can start at a minimal dose is good. Thanks.

I've been on Victoza for a few months. 1.2 dosage and never had side effects. Getting my A1c from 7.2 down to 5.0. Lost 15 pounds. All because of Victoza? No, I've cut out bread and any bakery and back to using the My Plate app for calorie journals. The biggest difference that I have noticed with Victoza is my fasting blood tests are much better than the last time I "dieted".

Starting victoza this morning! Thanks for this video. I think I'm going to start at a lower dose than .6 mg. I'm so nervous taking it. I'm a type 2 diabetic type 2.

My dr told me to start at 3 clicks and work my way up gradually. Also I take at night. So far no side effects. I tried Trulicity and was sick as a dog for days.

Just a hint, try taking it a couple hours after dinner instead of in the mornings. helps prevent the nausea I find.

I've been on Victoza for about 4 years now. I never had any side effects until about maybe 2 years ago..fatigue! Is there anything I can take like over the counter stuff?? I have a CDL, so I have to be careful what I take.

I was on victosa for 2 years and have had severe stomach issues so I have been off it for a year and still suffer from stomach issues 😢

Great video. Just got prescribed this medication. I’m not a T1D not T2D since i had my kidney/pancreas transplant 5 years ago. But the anti-rejection meds i take forces me to be a drug induced diabetic, so now I’m gonna use these pens

Hi Dr., I was diagnosed with DKA 3 months ago, but I have no history of Diabetes, it was a sudden onset. As per my Doctor, she can’t still determine if I am type 1 or type 2 DM since blood test done to consider me as type 1 are all normal. I live in equator region and daily temperature is 35 degree Celsius. Do I need to keep the Pen in the Fridge in this temperature while I am using?

Victoza has no association to breast cancer

Very expensive medication, the insurance doesn't cover for loss weight, fortunately my insurance cover before, so had couple less, so I'm using only one time a week 1.8, and works ,so dr how long victoza loss the A1C ,I do one a weeks and I losing weight

I started Victoza with 1.2 mg as my doctor suggested. Using it for the last 12 days. I am facing constipation issue, gastric issue, and feeling vomiting. What should I do ? Is it the side effect of Victoza ?

do you have any diabetes reversals or weight loss results of patients as a result of using Victoza? i experience pains under my rib cage, have IBS, fibromyalgia & NAFLD, is it advisabel to use victoza?

Victoza can cause pain around ribs or back sometimes. Yet you having fibromyalgia makes it difficult to differentiate. Please consult with your Endocrinologist. I can give you a consultation if you are Florida as well. Feel better

Hi I have Diabetic Type 1. I tried this but I feeling very sick using this like stomach aches and vomiting... the website said it is possible to feel this side effects. and I felt my body is soo tired.. I lose appetite.. does this mean Victoza is not a good match for my body? I feel like stopping this medication

If too much side effects please stop it. It isn’t designed for type 1 diabetics either.

For me mornings were impossible, so I began taking it a couple hours after dinner like 7 or 8 PM and nausea, tummy issues disappeared. Give it a try if you are having nausea.

I have been using for loss weight and is very good, lower the sugar and u can see your stomach getting flat , the problem is very expensive and insurance doesn't cover ,cost 2 pen almost 800k

Actually there is a similar formulation used specifically for weight loss under another brand name, you might check that out. Called Saxenda. It's a higher dose though.

I have pcos and my doctor is actually the one who brought up Victoza to me and prescribed it just yesterday. It wouldn’t hurt to bring it up. I haven’t brought myself to inject it yet because I’m so scared to inject myself 🙈. Oh also I don’t have diabetes but I am overweight. As you can understand, it’s very difficult for someone with PCOS to lose weight. Again, it would hurt to bring up!
