Dr Ergin that video somewhat answered one of my questions in another video of yours, but the problem is some T1Ds may need different amount of insulin in different time of the day, for example if I use high dosages of lantus at night, i may have low b. sugar around 5 am, if i use 1-2 units less, i have high sugars afternoon and it doesnt even last after dinner time, then here comes the problem, more total of insulin units in a day whether basal or rapid acting insulin, more weight gain. That seems like a loop that we re facing day to day basis, im hoping to find out a way in case you have mentioned in another video of yours, thanks for the content you are sharing

Thank you. I have been taking Lantus for about 2 years now. My only concern is that if I accidentally get it in a vein. A couple of times I used it and I got a little blood and a small bruise. It worried me but that has happened only 2 or 3 times in all the time I've been on Lantus.

Thank you again Dr Ergin, I have a question of what is the difference between the Lantus and Novalog flex pens. Is the Novalog stronger than the Lantus. I have been using the Lantus but I used the novalog yesterday and was fine but used it today and my surgar dropped to 43. That felt terrible. Should I no longer use the novalog. They gave that to me in the care center after I had my knee surgery. Can it get old? Thanks again Dr. Ergin. Have a great evening.

i use 16 units tresiba & 6 units lantus at night.. [so 22 units in total] will it be better if i just use 22 units tresiba to help me with my weight loss ? or it’s just the same effect? (i do full body exercise everyday by the way..)

100 units per mL so each 3mL Lantus pen contains 300 units. I’m a pharmacy technician who calculates for insurance all day every day. 🙂

I've been around that mountain many times over the past 20 years. There's textbook/teaching which gets you there most of the way, sometimes. And then there's actual practice which takes you the rest of the way. Everybody does not respond to Lantus or any drug exactly the same. There are plenty of people who bottom out and go hypoglycemic on Lantus. Just because it's a longer acting insulin, some people think you can't bottom out. In reality however, it just takes people longer to go down, but they still go low, and that low blood sugar can still be deadly if not caught.
