I don’t know if this will help anyone, but I bought a few of these and went to try them out only to find that they weren’t taking pictures. Turns out the factory default “interval” is one minute. That means that after you turn your camera to “on” mode, one minute will pass before the motion sensor triggers the camera. When I was testing out my cameras, I wasn’t waiting a full minute and therefore it wasn’t taking any pictures. I adjusted interval down to 20 seconds and was able to test it out just fine.

So far, so good. The included instructions were a disaster, this vlogger actually shows good menu methods. Now for the install.

What are Recommend settings?? Nobody shows this. They just read the words & scroll down How many picture no is recommend with video/camera on? What's a good interval setting? Do I leave auto power off?
@JUMBLE20154 жыл бұрын
There are no recommended settings, it is all up to the user and what they are trying to capture. I personally use these in the woods just to see what is walking thru. For that because it won't get triggered a lot I have mine set to 30 second video, with a 30 second interval, and I leave the power on (I never turn the power off unless I am no longer using the camera and just storing it). If I were putting it on something like a deer feeder where it will be triggered often I would probably go from video to pictures and change the interval to something like every 3 minutes. It is all based on user preference.

This camera is exactly what I was looking for to see what critter is getting into my garden. I found the set up very easy with the help of this video. Thx.

Will this thing trigger on motion not interval? Whether photo or video.
@JUMBLE20154 жыл бұрын
Yes, that is primarily how it works. The interval is just a delay you can set between triggering, so that you camera isn't constantly taking pictures of the same animal over and over. I use it mostly for hunting so mine is on a feeder. I have it set with a 5 minute interval. If something comes to my feeder and image is taken. . . . 5 minutes later the camera is active again, and if the animal is still there it will take another image. . . . if the animal is not, it is triggered waiting for the next animal to trigger the motion and take a picture.

This is NOT a 12 MPix sensor. The CMOS sensor has only 5 Mpix as all Victure HC200/300/400/600 trail cameras. The 12/16/20 Mpix are only extrapolated images. You'd better shoot native 5 MPix images and increase their size with your prefered imaging software or app, the result will be far better.

I was thinking of strapping the trail camera onto a tree but I didn’t want to drill the tree. Should I use the straps to strap it onto a tree? By the way, I have a victure HC200 hunting camera.
@JUMBLE20153 жыл бұрын
Strap works just fine. That is how I mount my cameras on trees.

I am missing some shots and video. Can not figure it out. T0 prove what is going on I put some food out to capture whats moving through my yard. a moth will trigger a camera and I see the food still there then I don't get another image for say 2 hours then something triggered the camera and the food is gone and not picked up what took it. Then will get squirrels etc . Camera was set about 20 feet from the trail at about 4 feet off the ground. baffling .

Hello, we had just bought a trail camera to record nocturnal animals. The first few times it worked just fine but now our problem is that it only records 2 seconds. For example out of 50 recordings, only about 2 or 3 records a pre-programmed 20 seconds and the other 47 times, it records only 2 seconds. Can you or anyone help us out? Thanks so much

How long should the batteries last? I got some brand new rechargeable batteries & charger. Fitted 4 into camera. It was working fine when I set it up, but only captured for 18hours, then batteries died! Am now recharging and will put 8 batteries in, watch this space......
@JUMBLE20153 жыл бұрын
Most trail cameras don't recommend using rechargeable batteries and this one is the same. I use regular Duracell batteries. I only put 4 in the camera and usually get about 2 months of life out of them.

I had the same problem, i then realised that that there are 3 toggle positions for the sliding switch. Off - Test - On. When you turn it on you need to go to the middle, 'Test' position to set your camera timings via the menu then slide it to , 'On' to run the settings. If you slide it straight to , 'On' the camera counts down 54321 and turns off to prepare itself for the settings programmed by you in the test mode :)

Is there a way to set it to capture motion instead of a fixed interval of time for pictures and video? I can't find that anywhere on this thing.
@JUMBLE20154 жыл бұрын
It is under "Time Switch", there you can basically set the start and end times you want the camera to be in operation. So for example if you just want it to capture motion during the day time, but not at night. . . you could set it up there. Hope that helps.

Hi. Does the red led light in this continue to flash while in use? I'm thinking it will catch the eye of possible theives
@JUMBLE20154 жыл бұрын
No it only flashes for a few seconds to let you know it is setting itself (basically so you know it is working and then you get out of the way) then the red light stops flashing.

What is 'interval?'
@JUMBLE20154 жыл бұрын
Hi there, that is the time between the camera re-triggering itself. So for example, if you set a 5 minute interval. . . that means if something walks in front of the camera and triggers it. . . . nothing else will be able to trigger it again until 5 minutes later. I hope that helps.

@JUMBLE20154 жыл бұрын
I would put the card in your computer first. . . and format it (that will wipe it back to factory default). Then remove it from your computer and try in the camera. If it works I also recommend formatting again while in the camera (it is one of the settings).
@ChrisJones-cl4ll4 жыл бұрын
mine done that but i was trying to use a 64 card instead of a 32 so i tried a 32 and it works ok .
