Thanks. Helped a lot. I just purchased HC300 (version V2.1.3.1-D) which is 20MP. A couple of things to add, which may be of interest. In the Menu, there is Cycle Storage, which can be set On or Off. If On, the camera will rewrite repeatedly after the memory card is full, and will not, therefore, stop shooting. Also, in the Menu, Target Recording Time means that you can set the camera to work at your chosen time of day. Hope that helps.

All Victure trail cams HC200/300/400/600 share the same CMOS sensor. It has only 5 Mpix native resolution. The 12/16/20 MPix are just extrapolated images. You'd better shoot at 5 MPix and increase the size with your prefered imaging software/app, the result will be far better and you will save a lot of memory.

Mine is an hc 300 as well but it is 20 megapixel and .3 milli sec response I think they made a revised model I just looked at my box but I see yours is exactly the same so maybe they just changed the box

I can't get this camera to take images. Have been trying to have it record only during certain hours, but even if that interval is 5 minutes and i move in front, it always has no images. Any thoughts?

i am trying to set up my camera but having problem with the time of photo taking. I want to only take at night but it won't do it. If i set up from 18.00 to 06.00 it won't work - any tips???

If you cut the camera off to change the SD card, does it lose settings?

It will not lost the settings when you remove the memory card. The Victure is a nice camera, but I just got this one a couple weeks ago. . .so far it is the best trail camera I have ever used. Picture and Video quality is excellent and I get no false triggers. . . . and run it totally off the connected solar panel. I have bought 2 of these cameras and I cannot get the cameras to power on. I have replaced 4 sets of batteries, all NEW . I have followed the manual and your video and neither of these cameras will power on.......I've already returned the first one and now same prob , new camera

Check that the batteries are the correct way round, I made that mistake the first time (it alternates positive and negative end directions - has plus and minus signs on the lid of the battery compartment)

I have issues too, my batteries are the right way round and it beeps and powers on then immediately shuts down. Any ideas?

Can you set it for daytime recording?

Yes you can set a time interval so that the camera will only work during the daytime (but not at night time) or vice versa.

Do you know how to reset the password? I had it off for a few months and the password keeps giving me an error even though I know it is correct 🤷‍♀️ please help!

I think the only way to do it is to do a firmware update. You could email Victure to see if they can provide you with the firmware file. . . . .you will have to download it. . . put it on a SD card. . . . then put that in the camera and power it on. The firmware will load automatically from the SD card and will update the camera and wipe it to factory default (thus resetting the password). Sorry that is the only option I know of.

Could be 1111. In the user's guide is written that password to reset the camera if you forget the number.

Sorry I have no had a chance to try the HC 400. Just this one (HC300) and the HC100 mini, which is a cool little camera.
