Thanks to you I was able to finish my chunky blanket that I made from someone else's channel. I was fine until the end when my bind off wasn't binding; it was bunching. So I'm so glad I searched for "how to finish" and came upon your casting off method! My king size blanket looks great now!

Your videos are fabulous! Can you explain how to determine how many skeins of yarn are needed?
@undercatgaming2466 Жыл бұрын
6-8 depending in which you want the blanket to cover your chest or head

We do in-person chunky knit blanket workshops. Our guests create a 40" x 60" chunky knit blanket; 20 stitches in the chain, 2-inch stitches. We give them 140 yards of chunky chenille yarn (5 28-yard skeins). If you knit tighter, then you will need more yarn. If you want your blanket to be bigger/wider, you will need more yarn. I will be adding more videos to this channel and will make a video on this subject soon.

I finished my blanket,thank you. I made it too long. Can I make it wider without ripping it all apart?😢
@Abby-gu5gd Жыл бұрын
You could probably make panels of narrow blanket lengthe and join them together like crocheters join granny squares, but with your hands. For example, there's the slip stitch join and the single crochet join that are similar to making rows of your blanket and finishing it of, respectively. A google search of "granny square [slip stitch OR single crochet] join" should turn up some good results. I am in no ways an expert but I have accidentally made some narrow blankets before and thats what I've done to fix it in the past

If it was me, I would take it apart and start again. It's good practice. The more blankets you make, the better you will become with speed, uniform stitches, tensions, etc... Happy Creating!

Audio does not match visual on this. For a beginner, watching this is very confusing as your words are not matching your actions. I have not learned what this videos states it will teach me.
@Layla-ts8lt3 жыл бұрын
This is my first time making a blanket and crochet in general and it is very confusing too follow. Shes saying she’s doing this one thing but I don’t see her do it.
@zumeybear68833 жыл бұрын
There is alot more talking and playing with the yarn than actually making the motions which is why we came here - The effort is there ! Just needs some adjustments
@helam_3 жыл бұрын
What are you guys talking about? I don’t understand what’s so confusing? I’m a beginner, but I understand what she did, she explained it pretty slowly
@clairewilson883911 ай бұрын
I also completely disagree, she just says pick up two stitches and pull the working yarn through…. It’s very simple and easy to follow. Great video!
@itsnanalol109310 ай бұрын
no it’s not at all confusing I’m looking at my blanket right now. You just gotta actually pay attention and try much harder. you got to video 6 how again? start over, cause this is my first ever blanket if I can do it so can you.

I'm not sure it's a matter of words matching video rather too much dialog and not enough illustration.. There was alot of moving It and laying it down as you were talking as if to keep your hands busy but it was very confusing :/
