Also in terms of the gamblers, my take as an Australian is just surprise at the massive cultural difference between the UK and Australia in this regard. We have gamblers, or pokies as they are caller here, and it is absolutely illegal to have them and children together lol. If a premise with pokies is found to allow a child (under 18) in they lose their licence to be allowed pokies and face a massive six figure fine. This is strongly enforced.

That sounds much like the United States also, except its state dependent, but usually its outright banned. We had a few things crop up in the UK news over the last year with regards to restrictions on slot machines (especially online gambling) with young people, but i don't see that anything has been done about it yet. Some of the 10p games that I see teenagers play, the reels can spin way quicker and also give less features, so £1 can get eaten up so quickly. We used to play on those when we were 8 years old haha! Even the 2p machines can turn young kids into future gambling addicts as it gives you that same sense of winning feeling. It's also pretty easy to gamble on a 25p machine as they are in pubs and bars. Parents bring their kids all the time, so its pretty easily to gamble on those if you want to. We always did growing up! I wish they would do something similar here, but the problem is: the arcades rely on these machines to stay afloat, so without them, the video games would all disappear sadly. (seaside arcades only mainly)
