Jumanji is a Jack Black film based on a video game, and the Rock stars in another video game to live action film called Rampage. Did you mention the Prince of Persia movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal?

Good video! I did like the first 2 Tomb Raider movies! I did see the remake, and it was not as good at the other ones were! Do you remember the first Mario Brothers movie years ago! That was not a good movie! I did like the newer Mario Brothers movie that came out a couple of years ago!

most people would agree that the new Fallout series on Apple TV is probably one of the best examples of a video game being ported to the movies.

@@breakfasthole3851 if you haven't already seen it, there's a CGI Donkey Kong cartoon that came out during the DKC trilogy that was pretty good

@@DeaDGoD_XIV I know the one. It was visually impressive for a kids TV show in the mid 90s and was faithful to the DKC games. We're definitely ready for a family orientated movie with modern animation though.

My biggest issue with the Mortal Kombat movie was the actor that played Kano. His accent wasn't consistent between scenes and even changed twice during a scene with Sonya. Whenever he showed up it kept bringing me out of the movie. All I could think about was, "who hired this guy?" Whereas the actors in the live action Mario movie at least tried their best despite the script being changed a few times while filming. As for a Zelda movie, I haven't played a Zelda game since the N64, but Link was a "silent protagonist" (ignoring the grunts in the N64 games), so how can that be translated to a live action movie? In the end, though, if the people like the movies, who am I to say they are wrong?

@@BriansManCave I legit do not remember that, so I asked my older brother and sister about it because I remembered watching a Mario cartoon with them. According to my brother, we all watched that cartoon as well. Now I have to find episodes of it to see if it'll jog my memory.

Video game movies in general should be Animated Never care for helo or mortal kombat There is Animated sonic the hedgehog movie however it's was only released in Japan back in 1999 Yet to see the live action sonic movies

The Sonic Movies are good. Street Fighter is a stupid game so is also a stupid movie.

Video games to movies are OK, the problem arises when coked-up executives get involved and make them a souless cash grab. Plus the movies can't always be totally accurate, they need to be somewhat Hollywood to appeal to a wider audience (to make more $). As long as you do not let Uwe Boll direct it, you movie will be alright
