This doesn't just happen from other counties, but also from other states. They sometimes buy homeless people bus tickets and ship them off to California.
@juicyfruit6311

So what? The state does nothing to discourage this. Homeless camps are popping up in even the most affluent cities. The cops and officials say they can't do anything about it in most cases. Sometimes, the camps are cleared out but they move a few blocks over. Meanwhile, taxpayers are moving out of state because of the cost of living and perceived high crime rate. Illegal and legal migration here isn't discouraged or stopped. Tell Gestapo Gav to close the state's border to prevent "undesirables" from entering and residing here. That will never be allowed.

I live in San Diego, and my family owns a business that operates 24/7. We have seen multiple times when police officers drop homeless off near our business. I’ve even seen a homeless man come out of the trunk from the Ford Explorer police cars. My guess is that when someone calls 911 the police officers just handcuff them for show, and just drop them off in the other side of town to keep people from complaining.

So yes I’d seen the man and the people questioning me knew they dropped him off near this location. @Invalid Characters hey troll since you didn’t watch the video. Nor truly read to comprehend what I wrote! The homeless man was assumed to be homeless and LEO from time to time do a pickup and dump in other locations to “cleanup” the neighborhood. Now do you understand how he made it 40 miles from his home city? His family was trying to locate him and police tracked him to my location because why!! Their county participated in releasing individuals to other locations where resources for the homeless are. Not the right thing do at times because essentially these individuals are moved further from their family members whom do care for them.

I really don't understand why the US keeps having a problem with Drugs, and homelessness. Here in Singapore, we have no Drugs or homeless since most poor residents can find a public cleaning job, drug traffickers are just executed, and people who commit most other crimes don't get jail time but get caned with a rattan reed until their butt splits in half. Caning is more effective than jail since the offender will remember the pain when they consider committing another crime, coupled with the lasting welted scars every time they sit down for the rest of their lives.

The real question should be where and how your local politicians and nonprofits spend their budgets with the massive amount of money they’re already taking in. I’m sick and tired of this “we need to be more compassionate” and “there’s not enough resources” nonsense. This reminds me of a recent event that happened in an upper middle/first class town in my home state. The entire town green was full of BLM signs and the locals had a rally in support of BLM yet when the city council held a vote to allow bussing of inner city school children from the poor town next door, they saw record turnout of residents voicing their opposition. “I support it as long as it’s not in my neighborhood” types. Virtue signaling at its finest! Pathetic

@@ertfgghhhh you totally missed the point of my post. It’s not for or against bussing it’s about the hypocrisy of white liberal elites. But to your point… Being Latino, grown up in the projects and going to inner city schools from K-6th grade, then a foster kid and going to a 99.9% white school (that had bussing) from 7-12th grade, I can say with confidence that the contrast between inner city and suburban schools is astronomical. The main reason is lack of parental involvement and support. As an adult, I tutored inner city children in math and reading for years. We would sit in the back of a classroom and it would take the teacher more than half of the period just to get the kids to sit down and be quiet. The kids who wanted to learn were bullied and called Oreos, Uncle Toms or coconuts. The outcome for kids who are bussed is much better than those who are stuck in underperforming schools with kids who tease them for wanting to learn. Rather than allow school choice they keep lowering the bar and grading them on a different scale in some areas. Democrat run schools of course. Billions have been spent on inner city schools in my state and they’re all still underperforming. Dumping money into the schools will do nothing if the children don’t care about learning. Money is not the solution. Parents instilling the value of education is! I’ve seen the results of bussing and they’re promising. The black folks I still keep in touch with who were bussed to my school are all successful adults, married and stable. I was one of 4 Latino kids and we are also all successful adults.

Well, that would mean Contra Costa County needs to file legal action against the state and the city of San Fran. On behalf of their tax paying citizens. Look up project Room Key, moved all homeless out this way under the guise of COVID. That plan was already in the works since 2019. It is destroying this community. They do the same thing to riverside, where do you think they shipping all the homeless from the beach to.

@@lupea8079 we’re good for something, revenue! They like to take and take to give to their causes (vote getting). Governor Nuisance is a silent partner in the group that purchased those hotels in NorCal and SoCal that they are moving all the homeless into, knowing they will only stay for a short time then migrate into surrounding communities. They have become a burden on the community!

Ha! Caught in the act! I've been wondering how uber-affluent Marin County keeps the homeless out of their hair! And yes, I agree with other commenters that, in all probability, moving the homeless around happens more often than anyone realize. Especially other states moving their homeless here to Calif -- bc is it really feasible that the huge number of homeless in Calif were all home-grown!? Maybe Calif needs its own Border Patrol to intercept these out-of-state "visitors"!

That would involve controlling migration. California rarely, if ever, enforces migration laws. That's considered evil and selfish. Are you going to weed out whites, blacks, and other groups? Do you want to have a racist or elitist tag on you? Imagine telling an "Indian" from Wyoming or Oklahoma they can't come to the state as a homeless person. How dare you tell a "First Person" whose land was stolen from their ancestors they can't move freely abouf. Good luck!

Any homeless person applying for social services or being booked for a crime should be carded. If they're Californian, keep them. If they're out of state, ship them back and charge those states for the expenses

Marin, especially San Rafael, has a large homeless population. There is a large encampment under the freeway in downtown. Luckily, there are services there.

Affluent cities have been doing this for years. That's why you would never see homeless or panhandlers in places like Marin and Alamo. They get picked up by the local PD or Sheriff and dropped off in nearby cities like SF and Concord respectively.

In Sonoma county the more affluent cities arrest homeless on minor changes, transport them to the jail in Santa Rosa, then drop the charges. Most of the homeless just stay here.
