I currently use a Canon EFS 17-55 2.8 IS with an adapter on the R7, is the change worth it?

The biggest advantage of the new SIGMA 18-50mm is that it is less than half the weight of that 17-55 lens (300g vs. 645g), and of course because it is made for RF there is no need for an adapter (which adds another 110g). How it compares in other areas is largely subjective, so the best thing to do is try one if you can.

The lens is designed for APS-C (like the R7 shown in the video), but you can use on full-frame and still achieve full 4K video in crop mode.

Dude the Image is very tight. It shows how far you are from the lady. It is definitely not a wide range as you're advertising. Sigma just give us the 10-18 mm f2.8 RF mount Lens please and then you can say that it is a good wide angel lens. Came on. It looks like I'm moving to Sony because I can't have a 3rd party lenses with Canon R7. It sucks
