Thank you for this video! Even though your tutorial is a few years old now, I am still using AS 12 -- just need it for simple editing of audio-only files, nothing complicated. But before today, I had not tried to denoise anything, when accidentally I recorded something through the wrong microphone, i.e. it used the crappy defective mic that's internal to my laptop, instead of my good external microphone. There was so much crackly noise and you could barely hear me and my client talking. With your video's help, amazingly Sound Forge was able to remove most of the crackling noise, made it very minimal, and then I could raise the overall audio volume on our voices after that. It's clearly not perfect, but hey if you heard it before, you'd be impressed too! I have managed to salvage a very bad recording = my client will be happy that this was not a lost cause.

Hi! I got sound forge 14 audio studio steam edition, but this noise reduction feature is very different. and what you've shown seems better. Even Audacity noise removal is way better.

Thank you for creating this video! I had been using the noise remove stuff from Reaper for audio purposes, but found it to be a bit time consuming for what I was doing. The denoiser is really powerful and really improved my audio.

Great, helpful video! Does this tool work with mouth noise too? Sometimes I get dry mouth when I record and there is a little mouth noise, almost like lips smacking, that the noise gate doesn't filter out. Have you found it works for things like that?
@SoundsAndGear6 жыл бұрын
I haven't tried it on that but if you isolate that specific noise it should be able to work on that as well.

Hey Joe the Saint.... did you get a big discount when you can from the Sony Software to Magix stuff? I also use Sony Vegas 11 and Sony Sound Forge 10 daily. Or did I miss the cutoff point to upgrade with Magix? Looking more like I must buy all new Magix serial numbers....oh well. I'm hooked. Nothing else to do-I recon!
@SoundsAndGear7 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure about discount cutoff, but they sent me the latest versions to checkout as I've been using previous versions of the software for a while. But there should be an upgrade price to get the latest version, not sure if it's a version issue or not though?

I cannot find that tool in my Magix Sound Forge Pro 12. Is yours a plugin. I just have the standard Audio Restoration and Noise reduction.
@SoundsAndGear6 жыл бұрын
Which tool? The sound restoration? It's just under tools, audio restoration. I think in sound forge pro they are split up under the tools section, I honestly prefer the look and layout of sound forge audio studio over pro. Not sure why they didn't update pro with the newer gui and interface, I think it is more inviting to use and just much better to look at.

Scripts help a lot. At least have some notes when you narrate. It will save you all the impromptu, unnecessary narration.
@SoundsAndGear4 жыл бұрын
I don’t do scripts. Feel free not to watch if that bothers you. Peace.
