Cape Coral is THE place to live if you want a boat in your back yard for an affordable price. We have great shopping, hundreds of restaurants and plenty of golf courses. We are only a few minutes away from Fort Myers, Sanibel Island and Fort Myers Beach, 40 minutes to Naples, 2 hours to Miami, Fort Lauderdale or Tampa, and 3 hours to Orlando and Disney World.

Cape Coral is almost too nice to be believed. We bought a second home there about 5 years ago and have no regrets. The SW area seems to be the nicest. The cost of living is lower and the people are friendlier than in the Northeast. I think the people that love Cape Coral secretly harbor the hope that it will remain relatively undiscovered but the Cape Coral/Fort Myers area is turning up on more and more Internet lists of the nicest places to retire in the US. A few other restaurants deserve mention: Point 57 on Del Prado, Fathoms and Texas Tony's BBQ. I second the positive comments on Ford's Garage. Some of the comments below mention crime. Every place has crime. Cape Coral's crime rate is relatively very low even for Florida. If you are concerned, the Cape Coral police department has a very nice website with a crime map.

Beautiful and Great part of South FL... if the releases from Lake Okeechobee don't continue to ruin the Caloosahatchee river. The Army Corp needs to be closely controlled.

Cape Coral looks so beautiful! Does the area have any risk of hurricanes? How's the humidity & bugs during summer months?
@jonnybravo62654 жыл бұрын
High, high and high. Latter isn't bad bc of poisonous chemicals sprayed by air.
