I agree, how can the founder of the band (Glenn Shorrock) not be able to call his band Little River Band, he created it from a trip down the Geelong Road and saw the roadside sign Little River and said that is what we will call ourselves, and this guy here has a nerve even using that name, shame on you, Aussies will always rule...........

Look, I totally love Wayne on Night Owls and chorus vocals on Take it easy on me, and I am not casting judgement on him, but man, this whole situation just doesn't sit well with me at all. I don't like lawyers who use legalese to justify unethical decisions. It's shameful and lacks of good moral conduct. I have heard both sides, and I am disappointed/disheartened that the original LRB members (who wrote the songs!) can't even use the name at any time. Housden owns the rights to the name. Couldn't there be something worked out that could satisfy all parties? If there is a will, there is a way! As the ancient Cherokee proverb says, "if it's not good for all, it's not good for anyone" Just my opinion.

I've heard the whole story, from both sides, and it doesn't make sense to me. I know the others left, I know about the signed documents and the court decision. However, if you didn't write the material and weren't even one of the recognizable voices then saying you are the band is really misleading to the fans. If I had paid money to see Little River Band and then found out the history I would feel deceived. Just my opinion. By the way, this is not a comment on Wayne's talent. It is just a comment about feeling justified from a legal point of view when that's not what matters to the fans. I don't want to pay to see a band and then find out that nobody I recognize is in it. Making money by deceiving fans doesn't seem right. I don't like lip syncing or auto tune either. I don't care whether it's permitted or legal, it's not right.
