Thank you for your video. Please help me to find the right replacement motor . Which parameters do have to match about from body size and minimum length of shaft? I seem to get 3000 RPM at 12 V, up to 24 V. I can get 10,000 more RPM at 6 V. Initially, I tried RF-370CA-26100, 6V, 10200 RPM. Alas, shaft is only 5 mm. Pulley comes off during operation. The old motor is labelled 6V/CRF-370CH-23120-42/8200 Thank you

Nice repair :) I'm looking forward to seeing the HDCAM SR machine!

That was a little surprise to drop in at the end for my regular viewers who know about these things.

Where can I get a belt replacement? I have the same Secura soap dispenser.
@video99couk3 ай бұрын
I think the belt is neoprene, but it's much smaller than most of the belts on eBay or similar. Just a case of searching for a very small belt.

1. Why do you think the original Secura soap dispensers are the best (rather than the newer models without the Secura branding)? And 2. When is the Sony SRW-5500 video coming out?
@video99couk2 жыл бұрын
I'm in the editing phase of the SRW-5500 video, but this will might be a two-part because I have a replacement part on order. I just prefer the manual control on the earlier soap machine, which is still available.

Do you have any ideas for the situation where the sensor never activates? In other words, the blue light never comes on, thus no pumping. New batteries did not help. On occasion it will decide to work, but then fail again.

Yes. Take the sensor PCB out of the top and clean with isopropyl alcohol. Then train users to not take their hand so high that they put soap into the opto sensor housing.

@@video99couk How do you take out the top? Uncrew then what? pull it out?

How do you take the PCB out of the top and clean with isopropyl alcohol. I unscrewed the single screw. Do I have to also take the whole thing apart?
@video99couk Жыл бұрын
Yes all the outer cabinet work has to come apart. If you don't fancy that, try blowing out the sensors with a can of compressed air.

Wait... What?! A Sony SRW-5500! How the heck did you get that HDCAM SR VTR?!
@video99couk2 жыл бұрын
I wondered who would be the first to spot that! That will be my next video.

Nothing worse than a shaft that won't behave. (sorry, I'm a bit drunk. LOL). Nice Sony.

I bought one of the same exact model and the pump went out. The main gear on the pulley shaft of the pump started spinning. Where can I get a replacement pump?
@video99couk2 жыл бұрын
That might be more difficult to source than the motor. Sorry, no good suggestions for that, other than perhaps a second-hand machine.

What a posh way to dispense fluids :-D I was thinking i.r emitter and sensor side by side. Where the brushes touch the commutator would be important for direction and torque. Would a slight rotation of the brush plate give a better torque with worn brushes. You didn't need to steal your sons teeth he he :-D

Considering the work involved it dismantling, it's as well to replace the motor since it's not expensive.
@zx8401ztv2 жыл бұрын
Yes you have replaced it :-D, i thought you would like to look inside the old motor and see what is failing in it. Not video making, just your own interest :-)
