It is crazy the effort that goes in, but normally there’s proof other than “this is unlikely”. People can show where splices were made, or prove that someone wasn’t playing, or they used mods/emulators, etc. They have *proof*. After reading the paper all they did was explain how RNG works and that they don’t believe it was possible because it’s so unlikely. RNG exists to be, well...random. Unlikely things occur all the time, that’s just how it works. Of the millions upon millions of people playing over so many years it is bound to happen at some point to someone eventually. There’s a guy out there who’s been struck by lightning 7 times, odds far lower than someone having good luck on some trade drops. Just because it’s so statistically unlikely doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. If they can come back with more than “well, I haven’t seen it so it’s statistically impossible in my eyes” and have actual proof I’ll care. Until then it’s a bunch of clickbait clogging up my KZbin algorithm.
