@@DiamondDogApollo I have to say that the emotional journey in FFX-2 was also really good. You find out that Yuna... really isn't sure what she wants at first... then you find out what she wants and... it's something most people wouldn't even think about. Then it gets CRAZY!

Final Fantasy XV, my first main series title in the franchise and far from my last. I got so enveloped in the lives and friendship of Gladio, Prompto, Ignis, and Noctis that I had to force myself to not cry at it’s ending because everyone else in the house was asleep. While it may not be the best game, it is easily one of my favourites. I felt such a connection to that world and the characters in it, and I always look forward to taking that journey with the guys again on a new play through.

Same, well more like it's the first game in the Final Fantasy franchise that I played all the way through. I'd played some of X, X-2, and XII, but not very much or very far into them. Still haven't gone very far in them despite having both PS2 and PS4 versions... one day... one day I will...maybe...

Final Fantasy X. When she was 5, my daughter bought the PS2 version for Father's Day. She is now 20 and we've played it together (along with X2, of course) the original and remasters on the PS2-through-PS4 ever since. To this day, we get a little misty-eyed at the ending.

And to add salt to the wound, they showed the end game picture then switched to noctis theme I was left a mess. Def my favorite game of all time as I NEVER replay games I beat. Definitely the Soulsborne series. I can point to moments in each game that wrecked me. In DS1 I didn't know that the Crestfallen Warrior would go hollow and I'd have to kill him After I did I had to put my controller down and just started crying so hard. My partner, who came into the room, was legitimately worried until I explained why I was crying, and then they got so mad at me. Solaire, Lucatiel of Mirrah, Eileen the Crow, Siegward of Catarina, and Yuria the Witch all have a special place in my heart forever.

The most irrational attachment I've ever had to a videogame character is a Cleffairy I caught on Pokemon Yellow. It was my 2198472th playthrough but it was my 1st Cleffairy. I called her "Inês" which was my childhood crush at the time. Anyways I beat the rest of the game (I caught her before reaching Cerulean City) without using any other pokemon. Beating Lance made her go to Level 100 and I was so emotional that I never caught a cleffairy again because my Inês was unique. x'D

@Cata or Shane I had two friends who already had Pokemon and they told me I had to pick a Bulbasaur when I finally got the game because they already had Squirtle and Charmander. I named him Samson and raised him to level 100, and I loved every moment of the journey. I let a friend borrow him and then the game got wiped and I lost him. I legitimately cried and become so angry that he was gone. When I got older I got a Venusaur tattoo in honor of Samson, and he was just as real to me as any childhood pet. I don't care if that makes me sound crazy, it's how I feel.

This War Of Mine. I was down to 3 survivors, two of which were immobilized by disease and depression respectively. I sent my last survivor to the local hospital to steal food and medical supplies. She, our only hope, was shot in the back just before exiting the front door. Man, that game is incredible.

The MGS saga it came at a hard time in my life I could relate to Big Boss’s character, in that way he became something of an older brother to me. This saga still pushes me to live for myself and fight for something I believe in. I may make mistakes along the way but that’s life. I’m currently getting into the Witcher 3 and Geralt’s and Ciri’s father-daughter relationship brought me to tears when he found her 😭

I once had a dream when I was younger where I was staying at my Auntie's house but it was sort of prehistoric and the house was made of bamboo shoots. I'm able to wake myself up from dreams if I realise I'm having a nightmare but for some reason, I just couldn't wake up and I spent what felt like three real life days in the dream. Each day I tried to wake up and I was only successful on the third day.

Blood Will Tell was that game for me. You play as a samurai demon hunter who has 48 body parts stolen at birth and is abandoned by his parents. The man who finds him makes prosthetics so the child will live and raises him like a son. Everything about that game was epic, the journey to collect your body parts back, finding out the reason it happened, and of course finding out the truth about your friend, Dororo for whom the original manga is named after.
