I totally agree with the majority. The music drowned out the beautiful thumping of the rotor blades and the sounds of the machine. If you have to add music, tone down the volume at a barely noticeable background level. Anyway, awesome footage of this chopper. One of my fav helis along with the Jetranger and Longranger!!

Dump the music, I just wanna hear that Huey! I was fortunate to fly in a former 'Rattler'. 64-13560 now belongs to Blackhawk Helicopters of El Cajon, CA. I'd like to thank Ken & Sylvia Krauss for allowing me the privilege of riding in that beautiful UH-1H. My Dad may very well have flown that ship into combat in Vietnam. To all Vietnam Vets, thanks for your service to our Nation & WELCOME HOME.

Hello, my name is Mario. I am single side deaf and am hard of hearing in my good-bad ear. I have meniere's disease and one of the many symptoms is audio hallucinations, or as I like to call the noises and sounds. One of my dozens is the sound of this very helicopter - when the vessel began to start I knew damned good and well this is the heleicopter in my ears...ONCE the MUSIC started my ears were scatterted about and my study was terminated early. I do thank you for the two minute of same sound

Question: I noticed your hand resting on top of the collective. Did you throttle up for cruising flight, and were you able to set and lock the throttle like a car cruise control for sustained flight?

Nice video.... but why the dubbed over music..? Went from a 10 to a 5 because of the music, nothing sweeter to hear than the original sounds of a Huey, engine, power train, blades smacking air... (without dubbed over music)... Just an honest critique

Great video! Loved the split screen at the start. The sound of the UH-1 ranks second only to the sound of a P-51D Mustang or Spitfire as my favourite sounds in all aviation, with a T-6's Pratt & Whitney radial coming in a close third. What a privilege it must be to fly such an amazing and historic aircraft!

If you're gonna give this music, then play "Gimme Shelter-Rolling Stones" or "No Time" by the Byrds. It is really best appreciated if you got to actually fly in one of these and conducted an assault landing or rappelling.

Darn, we flew so many hours each day, I got tired of flying but now, I'd love to be back in the saddle and low-leveling again. I almost became a pilot myself, I talked to the Old Man but he told me I'd have to re-up and start fresh at three years. Now, I wish I had done it. Later, the deaths of dear friends caused me to chicken out.

My pilots scared the shit out of me. They meant to scare the crew chief but he slept through it. Hanging still at 10K feet was uncomfortable but I didn't expect flipping over on the port side and falling! I was looking straight up and screaming as we fell. When my pilot leveled off and the rotor blades popped like they were going to snap in two, I was praying for all I was worth! I was worried my Huey couldn't take the strain. Later, my brother, an Army pilot, told me about mast bumping.

Good to see again the insignia of the 25th on the nose of a Huey. Brings to mind the occasions when we would fly from Cu Chi to Tay Ninh then to the top of Nui Ba Dinh (Black Lady Mountain). Flying up was not a problem but sometimes we would have to shoot our way back down! Ah, but for the bad old days!
