I tried this recipe today. Loved it! It’s so much easier than the baked recipes out there and I like the limited ingredients as well! ❤

Im making a grilled chicken Bahn mi for a house party...should I add the pate to the baguette , as anyways I will be soaking the chicken in fish sauce,soy,etc before grilling it.
@claudiaonh98672 ай бұрын
For storing it in the fridge or freezer. Do you add melted butter or oil on the top?

Hi after soaking the liver in milk, do you wash the liver again so all the milk is comes off? Thanks
@Alisha-zq6vh17 күн бұрын
I didn't, and it came out good. Other recipes call for adding milk to the pan towards the end, so I don't think rinsing is necessary

How long did you soak the livers in milk. How much better did you add at first, and then at the end.
@ConstantCompanion5 ай бұрын
That was a question.
@nguyenfoodstall5 ай бұрын
at least 1-2 hours! 😊

@@nguyenfoodstall okay. You also call for one amount of added to additions. Did you just split it in half or is there an additional amount?

What is neutral oil? And do we rinse the liver after soaking it in milk?
@datgal2u5 ай бұрын
Neutral oil is an oil that doesn't have a strong flavor or aroma/smell (olive oil has a strong smell/flavor). So use something like avocado oil, grapeseed oil, sunflower oil, vegetable oil, etc. Don't use olive oil or sesame seed oil.

Just saying chicken liver makes my wife and daughter gag. That’s ok, when I buy chicken livers half gets cooked for me. (I’ve never used fish sauce with my chicken livers but my next batch definitely going to try it).). The other half gets cooked with sweet potatoes and brown rice for my dog. I have a smart boy! He knows what’s good!
@SergeEngineer10 ай бұрын
Is that an authentic Vietnamese pâté or a Việt kiều variant?
@datgal2u5 ай бұрын
I'd say it's a bit Viet kieu because it is using chicken livers. Chicken liver is way more accessible to those living in America than pork liver.

This is French receipt not Vietnamese receipt
@whahala5554 ай бұрын
Did you even watch the video? She mentioned how Vietnam was a French colony. Also, I'm pretty the traditional French pate recipe doesn't use fish sauce.
@nguyenfoodstall4 ай бұрын
a) yes it is Vietnamese. b) Vietnam was colonized by the French.
@MilkCried3 ай бұрын
You act like the French never colonized anyone. The French also changed our written characters from Chinese to what Vietnamese is now. Not going to lie, much easier system to learn.
