It's because this isn't some sort of reality contest show. Rather, Marion shows you how to actually cook. I used to watch the Food Network when David Rosengarten's show "Taste" was airing. Shows like his taught you how to cook. A decade or two later and it was all shows (or at least the majority) where people were running about trying to win some sort of cooking contest. Granted, I haven't watched shows on the Food Network in ages so they might have gone back to their roots (at least somewhat) but these days I find those kinds of useful food skills taught right here on KZbin.

Tried making this today and it was a hit. The dressing is perfect, the meat is so tender and juicy. So much flavor in such a little time. Literally THE BEST RECIPE!!! I make up a big batch of your Nuoc Cham recipe and use it as a marinade (sometimes adding lemongrass) and sauce! I also like adding some do chua (pickled daikon radish and carrot) to complete my banh mi style lemongrass chicken bowl. And if I'm trying to lower my carbs, I use lettuce wraps instead of rice.
