That was really nice of you to spend so much time with Matthew - especially taking him out for a ride in the Rotator tow truck. He will likely never forget the time he got to spend with you and everyone else at the shop. Your KZbin channel has obviously also made a lasting impression on him too, based on how much he was able to recall from past videos (locations of various wrecks, the police officer's name, etc).

Its great to see you encouraging young people. My own son benefited from work experience in a Mack Truck service center. It got him more focused on studying. Sadly 3 years into a heavy vehicle maintenance apprenticeship a major car accident ended that. He went on to start his own trucking business and is now in the process of retraining as a pilot. He was inspired in that by an airline pilot who was originally a truck driver. In your videos I noticed that your trucks are generally clean and well organised. It makes for efficient and safe working. I always wondered if your workshop was the same now I know. Its pretty good for a busy shop.

Thank you so much for be so gracious to that young man from West Virginia. I too hale from the Mountain State and our current economy is making it clear that we must encourage young people to become entrepreneurs. So many of our traditional mining and manufacturing jobs are disappearing to technology or foreign competition that it is imperative that we creat new business models for our future to be stable. West Virginians are hard working, kind, and have a high standard of morals. Kids like Matt that will dream big, set goals early, and be willing to work toward that dream are essential. You are obviously a role model for Matt and I sincerely appreciate your time, attention and care for him.

Once the diesel gets in your blood that's you are hooked. Lovely to see you are making the young man's day. Interest at this age is nice to see. I was hooked at about 4 years old having had many a school holiday travelling with my father. Thousands of miles deafening sound of a gardner engine.

I'm so jealous.. but so happy that Matthew got a ride in the rotator. Maybe some day I'll be able to visit the States, and I'll be making a special trip just to see you myself. :) Wishful thinking never hurt anyone. Have a blessed day, and stay between the lines. :)

great video ron,you always show your professionalism and that means alot to me as a otr driver.if I'm having a tough day in big city's (tight delivery or pickups)I always remain calm and think "how would Ron handle this situation?I also dress professionally just like you,it means alot to me to try and get the respect back to the truckdrivers in this country but I have a long hard battle.you the man ron!!keep safe and keep the videos coming!

I don't know what to say, except thank you and those comments bless me more than you know. Even when others don't give you respect, respect yourself enough to keep pushing forward. It is a tiring and often thankless job to be a OTR driver. Hang tough and keep your eyes on the road. May God bless you and guide you safely home after each run. Thank you again for sharing your kind words with me.

This reminds me of when I was really little and my dad who had a fuel tanker he’d pull with his old 2005 peterbuilt 379 he’d let me sit in it start it and honk the air horns.. :) I wish I could come and see your guys shop lol.

Ron I think this is awesome and to see Matthew interested in wreckers and the industry pretty sure he will make a great addition to the towing industry. God Bless ya Ron. Stay Safe.
@RonPratt7 жыл бұрын
I agree with you, he will be a contender in the profession for sure. He has already begun to build the foundation of knowledge and certainly has been taught manners. God bless.

I agree and I hope that he knows as he goes through each of the steps to become a professional towing & recovery operator that this is a profession to be very proud of. Towing is not a job, it's not a career, it's a lifestyle one that I miss very much but remain proud for being a towing & recovery operator. We used to say we are "the heroes of the highway" . God Bless Ron and I hope to someday come out there and see the shop and that amazing rotator. Stay Safe #moveoverslowdownitsthelaw

First class. I Also enjoyed the tour of the shop. One of these days leave the petercar in the barn and bring the real truck (western star) out and show us how it's really done!

I love all our truck, but there's just a little something extra about that Rotator! LOL God bless and take care.

Hey Ron, im new to your channel and glad i came across it. Its easy to connect with a real honest and un-filtered guy like yourself. Your hard and precise work and your patient and manners even in stressfull situations are nothing less than inspiretional to see. I loved you took the time and gave this kid a real feel for his vision. This kid has a very clear vision, not a dream - a vision. He see very clearly where he wants and gonna be in 10 years from now. Hes commited way more than he even know. The business cards he made for himself are a very strong way for him to look at his vision and keep building it in his mind. He WILL get there, its just a matter of time, and by the way he talks and invest his time on learning about his vision in that age - he has the potential to be one of the best, and YOU sir - just helped him connect his vision to reality and kickstarted the next phase of his plan. I wish you all the best Ron, keep inspire people and be inspired by, keep doing what you love and love what you do, be safe, and all the best to you brother. Regards from Israel! Erez.
