I'm a Marine, I believe that Elvis definitely would have sent an autograph picture of himself to that Vietnam War Veteran. He was proud to serve his country, as I was and the countess others! We say thank you for your service, Elvis, of all the things you did in your life, that means everything to me...Thank you, Billy and Jo, for telling these heart felt stories about Elvis. People forget that he was a human being just like us, subject to the same frailties and faults as the rest of his. We all miss him...

I know your channel is all about Elvis but I just want to say that I think Billy and Jo are such a sweet couple. Your relationship must have went through some turbulent times being on the road with Elvis but you’re two true sweethearts whose love has endured. You can see the care Billy gives to Jo with the little, “keep it to yourself” but then he immediately checks back to see if he upset or offended her. I bet the two of you could teach courses on what it takes to make a marriage last. It’s a rare thing today, sadly. You’re both very sweet, a beautiful couple and I thank you both and your beautiful granddaughter, Danielle too for sharing these amazing memories with us and keeping Elvis’s legacy strong. ♥️ God bless

I really appreciate what y'all said about Vietnam Veterans. I lost my uncle in that war... He was a HUGE Elvis fan. He used to sing Elvis songs to us kids, while playing his guitar. He was my cool uncle! His death was a major loss to our family. Any loss like that, is hard to deal with? Many people I knew that fought in that war, came back different from when they left to go fight! It was though a light switch had been turned off, and they were trying to find their way! Please stay safe, and happy. Take care of each other. God bless y'all...

Hello Billy & Jo, My dad retired from the Navy after serving 20 years. One day I asked him if anyone ever thanked him for his service and he said no. I had the honor of being the first to thank him. My dad was a tough guy on the inside but a softie on the inside. He started to cry and told me that had meant a lot to him. I always tell a service member thank you. You never know you may be the first. Thank you for sharing your memories. Have a nice week. ❤

Thank you Billy, Jo & Danielle on speaking about the Vietnam Vets not receiving the honor they so justly deserved! It most definitely was not a liked war but then, what war is when people are being killed for sheer politics and greed? My husband was drafted in ‘68 in the height of the war, fresh out of high school, 18 yrs. old. Did his time honorably, serving 2 tours in Vietnam. Was treated horribly upon returning home. Was even “spat on” in Washington airport while in uniform waiting for a plane coming home. 😢🤬. Took the VA 40 yrs. to acknowledge his health problems from Agent Orange. Up until a few years ago when he finally started wearing a “Vietnam Veteran” cap that he started getting “Thank you for your service”, “Welcome Home” and handshakes! What a disservice our country did to these men and women for doing their honorable duty! “ALL GAVE SOME, SOME GAVE ALL!” God bless them ONE and ALL! 🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸

Same thing happened here in Australia, the Vietnam vets were ignored for years, but nowadays they make up most of the parades because there is nobody left from WW1 or WW2. When the veterans are on the streets selling poppies for Remembrance Day and badges for ANZAC Day, I always stop and talk to them, thank them for their service, and buy something from them. Lest We Forget.

We have been told many times that Elvis wondered why him, why was he chosen to have this happen to him. My question is, how about you guys, did you ever just look at each other and think why us, or want to pinch yourselves to make sure it was ya dream…with being so close to Elvis, or was life going by so fast that it just seemed “normal” since you were family. Thank you! ❤

I would like to know, how close is Patsy Presley and Priscilla Beaulieu working together with Graceland/EPE Elvis and Lisa Marie history? Patsy stated that “she and Priscilla are close friends and talk frequently. Priscilla is so precious and is so obvious that she and Elvis were genuinely in love with each other and Elvis was going to ask Priscilla to come back to him but unfortunately it never came about.” How does Patsy know this as the honest truth? I replied to Patsy, “What would you, Patsy, do, if Elvis came to spend the day with you?” I told her I had no doubt there would be problems for many of Elvis’ DEVOTED FANS but also certain so called FAMILY MEMBERS. Might not be such a glorious day for some. I did however tell Patsy that there would never be a doubt what would happen if Elvis for one day came to visit Billy and Jo, Danny and Joey. There would be a glorious hootenanny for sure. The truest of the true, the fondest of the fond and the most loyal and devoted of the loyals and the devoted family and fans of Elvis Aaron Presley. Devoted family and fans need to be careful who they choose to believe. The EX, and her little followers like Patsy Smith and Jerry Schilling or Billy and Jo who were with him up until the day he died. Anybody, “What would you do if Elvis came to spend the day with you?” Think about it, what have you proclaimed about Elvis that might have been untrue? You see, Elvis was so down to earth (not Hollywood) and HUMAN yet people choose to lie so much about him because he is not here to defend himself, Priscilla. I love Billy and Jo’s dedication and commitment to Elvis. Family to me means everything, cousins especially. Grandparents, Parents and some siblings are now gone. What do we have we can chum with, those comforting cousins and their families and the wonderful great family memories. I treasure EFM and MMK. I hope to meet you all someday soon. Thank you for what you do. Thank you, thank you very much.

Question below, but first, I was only ten years old the day Elvis died, but believe it or not, I remember that day very well. My grandmother was heartbroken. Fast forward 30 years from then when my grandmother passed, my sister and I were going through her things and I'm sure you remember the plastic photo holder in people's wallets, well, we were going through her's seeing our school pictures and family and then in the middle of all these photos, was a cut out photo of Elvis. It was just really cute... We started laughing through our tears. 😀 Thought I'd share. ❤ I do however have a question for Billy. Lately since being intrigued about Elvis's life and watching so much about him. It's easy to see his charisma and powerful and likeable personality. It just jumps out at you from your T.V. His presents seemed so huge. Since Billy was a relative and knew him way before anyone ever knew he existed. My question is, when you had family get togethers, and things, was Elvis's electric there always?? Was it ever talked about?

Billy, I heard that Elvis suffered a head injury / traumatic brain injury in 1967 that ultimately led to other serious health issues. Can you please talk about this, how seriously Elvis was injured, and how it affected him?
@Patracat Жыл бұрын
I have read about those head injuries in a couple of books about Elvis, that focussed on his health. Not many of the books written by his friends and other journalists mentioned it because they probably didn't understand the consequences of concussion and brain injury. My neck and upper back was trashed in a motorcycle accident where I was thrown onto the road and landed on my head. The crash helmet saved my life, but I had years of health issues including epilepsy. I know Elvis' accidents weren't that bad, he slipped in a bathtub and banged his head one time, and fell down at Graceland and banged his head again another time, so goodness only knows what damage was done to his brain or neck.

I know Elvis went to church as a boy, so how did that change later on after he was an entertainer since he didn’t have the freedom to go out in public to attend church?
