I am a Canadian who is half Japanese. I was born in Japan. My mother was Japanese and my father was English. My mother was a Christian. Unfortunately she never allowed herself to be completely given over to Christ. She despised her father. She was prejudiced towards Koreans and never felt any guilt about what Japan did in the Second World War. She is Heaven now but she could have done more while alive here.

@@DuzzinsSama depends on your definition of success. Reaching out to the Japanese is definitely a team effort and I am happy for many other co laborers. I’ve been blessed to see God at work, as I hear and see the testimonies of some who have come to Christ, YES. In my experience, it takes multiple years between when a Japanese first encounters Christianity, to when they come to Christ for themselves. While I haven’t personally had the opportunity to personally pray with a Japanese person to lead them to Christ or baptize one, I have done what I can to sow seed. As Paul says, “ I plant, Apollos waters, but God brings the increase”.

Something that I notice is that the beauty in those who have suffered isn't in the suffering itself, but rather in the healing from it. A person who sins is not beautiful because of their sin, but one who has been healed from their sin--that is beautiful. No one finds a wound beautiful, but a scar can be.

@ISLAM_IS_THE_RIGHT_PATH1 Muhammad received the revelations from a demon, that forced him to read even though Muhammad could not read, and as this was happening Muhammad was convulsing and foaming at the mouth, and screeching like a camel. That is how the quran was conceived. It is a satanic, twisted version of the Gospel, most likely given to Muhammad by satan himself. If anyone else does not believe what I said, look it up yourself. The Bible gave a warning of this: Galatians 1:8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.

Yeah but we know the creator of beauty: evolution. We have evidence that this non-intelligent process would cause us to find things beautiful if it improved our ability to live, thrive, and reproduce. So we're descendants of those who considered waterfalls beautiful because those people survived/thrived/reproduced better than those who had no instinct of beauty (or whose idea of beauty was something non-beneficial to us). Note that we shouldn't confuse beauty with our fascinations of more dangerous things. We may find it fascinating to observe how people fail or how bears act because to observe these things results in knowing how they work, which improves our fitness. Meanwhile we have no evidence of any gods.

I stay in China, and I do the work of God here. However, the Chinese converts I’ve met (2 in 3 Christians) met Christ when they went abroad. Why am I sharing this? You might feel you need to be in Japan to save the Japanese, but if you look around you, in your schools, there are a lot of these oriental souls. Preach to them, share the gospel with them. They are often the vessels that will return to their own people and share this gospel with them. That is what noticed about the Chinese souls who preach and serve God here, most had time abroad got saved there, returned and are doing a lot for God here.

@@DianaHollyParkwell Geishas originate in Japan actually, as the first ones were men, not women. They originated in the brothels of the Edo period, functioning as entertainers for the patrons before they saw the prostitutes and courtesans. While Kisaeng did have a similar role, they were purely for the entertainment of the upper classes, as well were enslaved from the lowest castes. The role of the Kisaeng is more similar to that of the Tayū and Oiran, since they had to be skilled in almost everything from music to poetry. As for Sushi, its origins are in China, not Indonesia. @@Durray13 It can definitely be a difficult concept to grasp, so I don't blame you not understanding, I didn't either for a long time. There is something called the Holy Trinity, which is Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is God, and God is Jesus in human form, but God and Jesus are also separate, and both have the Holy Spirit in them. Jesus has all of the powers of God, but can live, feel emotions, and die. He was fully divine, and also fully human, in other words, perfect. God created Jesus to be a messenger to humanity, that He has taken on the debt of all of our past, present, and future sin. A lot of people back then didn't think that Jesus was God either, and they killed Him for it, so you're not alone in not believing in that, just don't kill anyone over it lol I hope this helped to explain it! Japan is a beautiful country with amazing people. Their kindness and care is rare, as is their innocence. They've built a truly remarkable society and culture. I consider myself privileged to live amongst them. They are also deeply spiritual and overall deeply connected with nature, which reflects in their reverence of the many kami they see in the world around them. A friend of mine once told me about a visit she made to Paris. She said she could feel the kami all around her in the beautiful buildings and places of worship, but was sad to see the Parisians so blind to their rich presence. Her comments reflect a sentiment I've heard from many Japanese who have travelled to the west. That westerners seem oblivious and blind to the spiritual world all around them.

I went back to watching anime and I realized the amount of suffering in these animes, but they were always trying to find something to fill the gap of loss and suffering. If it was revenge, righteousness, love, protection and the more I see this in anime I realize the missing piece in these stories is Jesus. Pray that Jesus can pour his spirit on these people's lives in Japan.

It's amazing how anime is so relatable. As a Christian you would be surprised how it can relate to the bible and biblical teachings. We have a Jesus and Anime Group at our church with almost 50 people! It's fascinating to me! It saddens me to see the trauma that Japan has been through, ironically enough, Anime has blessed me in so many ways. Hopefully with my group or other avenue, people can spread the love of God. Whether through Anime or other art.

While there can be some similarities at times, most of the time I tend to see "broken wisdom" where there's a view of how the world works that seems close to being true, but something is fundamentally off. AoT is a show that has an amazing premise and story, but the fundamental message that it's trying to convey isn't a good way to look at the world. There is little hope in that view. Oftentimes in anime like AoT, characters will burden themselves with sin for those they care about. It goes to show the desire to be saved but not understanding how. Kinda just putting my thoughts down so if something I said doesn't make sense, I apologize.

My Grandmother was born in Japan 1925 to a Christian family. She was a born-again Christian. She had already experienced much loss before she married and moved to America in 1952. Her father had died. Her sister died in Toyko firebombings. Her brother died. Her fiance died in WWII. She very much appreciated Japanese missionaries who were in American preaching services in her first language. We had a bilingual memorial service.

Wow, your grandmother sounds like she was incredibly strong and resilient, despite facing so much loss and hardship. It's amazing how faith can provide comfort and support during times of struggle. In times like these, I'm reminded of Psalm 23:4, which says, "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." May her memory be a blessing, and may her faith continue to inspire and guide you.

Yet Cnut wanted to create heaven on earth before Jesus's return, from what I have seen. That is one of the major mistakes most Christians believe in. Jesus doesn't come to a world that is perfect; he comes to a world to take his Bride home in the Rapture before a period of destruction begins with the Antichrist and the Jews go through one last test for God, where they will repent and call for Jesus to come back. He will then come back with his bride to destroy the Antichrist and False Prophet, seal the Devil away and set up heaven on earth for a thousand years before the Devil is loosed to tempt one last time before the Heavens and the Earth are destroyed by God and the Devil is thrown into the Lake of Fire where the Antichrist and False Prophet are. The dead will then resurrect for the Great White Throne of Judgement, where they will be judged before being thrown into the Lake of Fire. Then after all that, God creates a new heaven and new earth with New Jerusalem within it. It's amazing how you brought up Vinland Saga, on the count of both that and Japan had a lot of things in common. The major being that both, including those being persecuted during the Sakoku Policy, were Roman Catholics who were uneducated about the scriptures and relied only on tradition. I am a True Born Again Bible-Believing Christian who TRUSTS wholeheartedly in the shed blood of Jesus Christ that washes away all my sins and STAND in the Gospel of 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV, and I do show sympathy on those who are uneducated and unaware that just because they claim to be Christian, that does not mean that they truly are. Say that there are 40% of Christians in a country, only 6-7% are the real Macoy. As I have given you of the Gospel, that is how you can tell that you are that 6-7%, but it all must come from the understanding of the heart, your soul, your entire being. I hope this is very helpful to you.

The main harm and danger caused by the man-made Bible and the man-made Quran is, that even though they contain man-made wisdom, they also contain man-made errors that are claimed to be the word of their god. By that, they expect the reality to adjust to those errors and not vice versa. Thats very harmful, especially as those man-made and “godly claimed” errors include topics like e.g. astronomy, evolution, biology and homosexuality.

My deep burning love for anime, manga, and technology have always grounded me in Japan even though I was close to living there once upon a time. Japan have scars that run deep but they channel that into something beautiful through art and storytelling. They understand what it means through hardships its can make one stronger and strong willed. They understand the beauty in brokenness but they have yet to embrace the One who loves the broken because He sees value in them. Japan is embroiled in their own religions and myths because they are trying to seek something higher than themselves. The gospel has been planted in this country but it is not growing as much because of their traditions and history, past and future hurts they can't seem to let go.

I once read that one of the hardest things about preaching in Asia is that you have to tell them their ancestors aren't in Heaven. As non believers, they're either in Hell or annihilated. And so, many reject the gospel, as who would be OK with that? If only more preachers would talk about the universal restoration. They'd know that even it took a bit longer... They'd see them again.

To watch an incredibly well-produced video essay on KZbin about Christianity and *not* get sucker-punched with a hyper-fixation on the toxic minority of adherents was so unexpected and refreshing that I'm not even sure how to feel. As an 18 year old with mental health problems , it's strange how God works . I love that part in the video where you talk about how the broken bowl is fixed and becomes new and beautiful. Because I was at my lowest point ever , I ran away from home , lied and hurt people that I love . And in that moment when I was calm God spoke to me . For a lot of people they leave God because they can't hear him or see him . The thing is he doesn't speak to you directly , he speaks to you by making you feel him and if your eyes are open by the actions of those who care for you. So I ask you lord be with those in need , make them know you in their hearts and guide them.

Thanks, very nicely done. I’m living in Osaka and work with missionaries quite often. One thing I believe is very important to this brokenness theme is to make sure everyone we witness to in Japan understand the world we see today is not the world God originally made, and is a temporary condition of our world. God will restore perfection, as it was before the enemy death came. We need to point them first to Genesis so they can understand where this brokenness came from, then show them God sent His son to take the penalty for our sin. The perfect Judge and perfect love came together at the cross. We must never compromise with the philosophies of this age from the god of this world. I’m talking about evolution and Big Bang which by necessity place death before sin, meaning it’s Gods fault, not our fault ! That is what I teach quite often so Japanese can be rooted and grounded properly. Thanks and God bless !

This is sooo beautiful. I've watched a lot of Christian content and this is one of the few videos that has brought tears to my eyes. My husband and I adore Japan and will be travelling there for the 10th time very soon. This is a beautiful reminder to pray for the people of Japan. Your editing style, story telling, tone and rhythm of your voice and just beautiful for this style of content. Absolutely amazing video. Love it ❤

Genuine question. Isn’t America much more broken than Japan? Like Japan definitely does have its problems but America is much worse. Maybe we should try and learn from the Japanese, not the other way around…

I don't think it's just Japan and America that are broken, it is the whole world that is broken. It breaks my heart to see so much suffering in this world we need to pray for All of the World.

Yes but with all its brokenness there are still far more Christians in the US than Japan. There are many things that we can indeed learn from the Japanese, but this is about the immortal souls of each person. Whilst false teachers abound in the US, there are many good and faithful Christians too. In Japan the biggest problem is that there are just so few laborers that the Gospel is not spread, and ironically, it is the stability and overall goodness of life in Japan that keeps many from exploring Christianity. In China for example, because things are so difficult for the Christian, Christianity there is exploding and those that meet in the house churches are faithful and true brothers and sisters in Christ. I myself have witnessed the thirst that they have for knowing the Gospel and knowing God.

4:24 The Japanese transitioned from Medieval Feudalism to a Modern System of Governance in the span of a Century most WW2 Soldiers were the Sons of Modernizing Samurai and the Grandchildren of Feudal Peasants, Daimyo, and Shoguns alike. You had to be Mature at a far younger age to Survive in a Medieval Society. They judged the Age of Consent on that Notion. Japan also changed it's Age of Consent to initially appease the West's Expectations, that's why only a Few cities at the Start like Edo adopted the standard 18 years for Age of Consent. Japan took 300 years of Civil advancement within a ballpark 50 years between the Meiji Restoration and Taisho Democracy Civil Privileges with Adulthood in what's seen as fair is always given alongside Civil Responsibilities of the individual. In the Eyes of most of the World, You were an Adult if you could Fight in a War, Pay Taxes,, Hunt, Fish, Butcher, Weave, Drink alcohol outside Religious settings (Communion wine used to be given to Minors by all Churches at least 1.5 centuries ago if they had the Sacrament Tradition.), Lead a Family as a Child (happened a lot) especially if the Father and Patriarchs died, though the Tight Knit communities closer to a Gemeinschaft standard of Society made this Easier to bear until hard times came to tame Charity). an Example would be Genghis Khan who after murdering his older brother for trying to Elope with his own Mother, he had to lead his younger brother as the Patriarch and his Mother had to send him away because the Rest of the Locality were After Temujin for Murder. He eventually got forced into Slavery after being Captured in the next town over where He met his Wife, and Nestorian Christian Borte. Borte got Kidnapped by Raiders, and as a Minor he had to Rescue her which set him on the path to become a Military ally of his Father In Law who was the first to Convert to Christendom in thier Family. These events put Genghis on the Path to be the Great Conqueror and Khan on the Mongols The US still fights trying to balance the Endowment of Responsibility to Privileges. It want's people of all ages to pay Taxes, and 16 year-olds to Fight Wars with Parent's Permission, yet they cannot buy a Gun for Self Defense until at least 18 and in all states cannot Drink until 21. in a less complicated society that's just trying to survive with Primative Technology whose Fossil Fuel was Slavery and Toiling Classes, It was easier to make it all the Same age because it was seen as fair and they altered the Age based on the Average age of the laborers that were sufficient to sustain a community, it was a way to incentivize Children to Work while Teaching them to Maturity. Much less about the cultural difference and more about Slavery, an Economic effect of Disparity. Reproductive Security, Marriage and Morality knowing when to Act is the best way to Abolish slavery. however powerful customers will find a way to sustain thier Sin. some go into slavery by choice of necessity and others are forced by that same necessity. Government is for when the People went the endorsement of a Collective to be Vigilantes. If the Governments of the US tomorrow signed the War on Gangs, Slavery, and Trafficking tomorrow and allowed Volunteers to pick up arms and Fight alongside the Police and Army, there'd be no shortage of Patriots, no shortage of Belonging, and certainly an Army to Best China's size. However thanks to Covert and secretive Elements deeper in a Government who won't want to ruin profits for Collaborating with the Scum of the Earth, the Government would prevent such a thing and Call it Ensuring Safety.

As a Christian, the only Good war is a Just war, a war fought by last Resort, or to Rend onto Caesar's what's Caesar's, as an American that's the Militia to prevent a Tyrant Caesar from destroying the Great Caesar's of Democracy. Censorship is an Afront to America and to God. Adults must see the truth so they know what to protect thier children from, we must meet desensitization with disgust and all Degeneracy with Contempt, and in the Wisdom of St. John of Chrysostom, that'd include the Degeneracy of Slavery. That's why despite the Union causing the Civil War provoking Southern Retaliations for Illegal and other acts of war in peacetime the Confederates Tolerated in good faith, God deemed it necessary for the Union to Win, for he found Slavery more abhorrent than Imperialism, and he Chose the West again against Godless Nazis and Bolsheviks. Today the West now subverts itself and earns abandonment for selling of it's Grace for Forgiveness of Sins, the American Bank of Grace closing in on Bankrupt only saved by those who through God's grace, pay grace into the System with Works of thy Spirt both Personal and as Alms to a World enslaved to sin. It's God's and the Buisness of every Christian wherever and where to put an End to these Abominations be it through Enforced Investment, or by Force of Arms. We must take the Banks, and we must make being connected to Organize crime a Death Sentence during the Operation of Transport and Trafficking, Victims shall be Saved as the Meek who gave thier lives for the Kingdom of Heaven or as the Liberated. The Spirit as advised me that as long as there is Godly men in America, I shan't withdraw my Patriotism, for this Is God's Great Patriotic War, a Sacred War to Defend the Defenseless. the Majority could vote to acquire Absolute authority for the Functions of Justice and the government shall Tyrant and Deny it calling it Due Process. Redeemers snitch on fellow Scum of the Earth and Recant the Sin, Confessors see the light of God and God illuminated the Path of Life, Watched but with Good Faith shall act the Redeemed shall, I at least Personally shall forgive them that much If I find it Genuine, Gross Re-Offense will Revoke the Mercy ending a life worth leading in the Cell, but will it be a Prison, or a Monastery? if they have any faith, they shall place thier trust only in the Lord, and chose the Monastery, if thier lack of confession doesn't match evidence and witness, then they've truly rejected the Faith, Forgive them ye Humanity of God, Oppose thier Sin when it Breaks the containment of their Flesh onto Works fueled by such Avarice, but Let God Judge him accordingly and act in Good faith. Those who Chose the Prison fall with the Fallen Flock to be Surveilled and hopefully rehabilited ending thier Addiction to Vices. Rehab of Sinners or a Heavenly Rehab from Heaven's Providence, let both Man and God's law decide whose worth being deported to First Judgement, but please spare the Death Penalty for those who keep the Degeneracy under the Label of Buisness and think in only Greed and making it Normalcy to make the Image of God a notion to be Corrupted, for Human Rights were Ensnared from the Abyss to Enshrine the Image of God in all people, and shall help form the Constitution to Transcend all Nations and Disciples of Christ and of other faiths, for that's what Christ commanded us when he said to love our neighbors as we loved the Lord. Those who betray this for safety also Betray the Trinity. Eden is when we can work together without feeling like Slaves and Chattel to the Shackle and Shekel alike, Wage Slavery is a Corruption of Eden. Greed is the source of all Economic hardships, and Grace between mankind is the Solution; through Alms, to Weave and Produce with God in mind to Mimic and Emulate the Majesty through work of Quality and Quantity, Usuryless Loans, Investment, and not Isolating the Gamble are Works I can think about in this Fallen head of mine. Lower the Pressure on the Bottom of the Pyramid and Expand it so we can have a Scaled up Pyramid that doesn't sacrifice Angle for Height, for the Babel the Pyramid too high is to become a systemic harbinger of Societal Apocalypse and Dystopia. the Meek who Stay low shall be Risen to the Highest of Heights in Heaven restored like Adam and Eve were before the fall, for poor they were on Earth, Every Man and Woman is a King in Heaven and Christ is thier Emperor. Thus to rule as a Shepard who doesn't beat his sheep thinking of some way to Devolve the Image of God in all of them like in all things is how Males are to Act in accords with the Dominion God has charged to us over the Earth, Environmentalism is the Side of Responsibility to this Dominion of which we shan't be commanded by the Greedy to corrupt Eden for in terms of Working Conditions, but to Receive the Privilege of Leadership for the Responsibility to know when and when not it's time to let the Wife and Children help him, and when to Protect them from living the life of Chattel in a Word Invaded and Occupied by Sin of which the Godless Caesar's shall provide no End or Escape for, Let God Judge them or seek that through you God may Punish them and Spank the Repentance back into them, Turning the Tables on thier Mockery of God is surely better than he with Sin casting Stones to Slaughter the Forgivable, for not following this teaching Christ rebukes you for he tires of Crying for the Slain and Innocent Slain undeserving of Deportations from thier Body. it is Godly Democracy for us to Evangelize and Proselytize our Caesars through free speech, Secular leaders with our Vote, for we teach them what we want and how we may desire it. it shall be through we the People, not the Church shall Heaven and Government connect. That's why we Orthodox Christians Pray for the Civil Authorities and Armed Forces everywhere, so that they may help us Fight this Sacred War alongside us, and that is why Our Actions and Vote Bless them too. Anyone we cannot Elect will either be Held in Checks and Ballance, or In Contempt, no Mandate shall liberate them the Responsibility of being Watched, nor being Checked against, for That's Democracy too. Let's form the Law to protect Witnesses and to never enable Criminal Leadership, Only through we and the Legislature shall Decriminality Occur in legislation and by Constitutional Amendment. We Eye those our Tax Dollars are invested into as Investors and we must have the Mandate as investors to make the Choices necessary to Preserve the Responsibility of Government no matter what It takes. The Militia is Responsibilities' Death squad whose Responsibility abolish the Death Penalty for that is how Holy Responsibilities are. Responsibleness is Righteousness, and the Accountable make the Best Confessors and be be the most worth for Communion because they shall Confess to Community. The Sacraments behold Wisdom worth gleaming for Secular use for every Church is a Colonial Administration of Heaven on Earth, Low Churches are the Kingdom of Heaven's Version of Anarchism, not always bad but could be better, Protestants Protest all kinds of Abuse yet make Abuses of thier own, looking back like Sodom and Gomorrah and turning into Salt or being crushed by Levantine Sulphur because being forward thinking requires the Coup of Fear for when Reform loses the Plot towards the Resolution of Perfection.

At that time, Portuguese slave traders kidnapped Japanese children and sold them as slaves all over the world. Even Japanese Christians were complicit in this slave trade. Toyotomi Hideyoshi was outraged by this and banned Christianity.

Japan is a pride driven work culture. Forgiveness often just doesn't exist in the minds of Japanese people because mistakes are very looked down upon. Not punished, but shamed. Big difference. It makes it nearly impossible to accept a savior who loves and has forgiven you when the ppl of Japan are driven by such an intense search for perfection which is seen as their responsibility to their peers to strive for.

Not perfection, but they strive for civility, quality, excellence. That's why they make highly-durable electronic goods, and have a top-notch railway network. Although yes, they need some room for self-improvement and correctness.
