Oh I am so picky with my ranch I cannot stand 99.9% of the bottled ranch especially if it tastes like mayo. I like making it but I had to use the package of seasoning. I have always wanted a really good ranch recipe. I am so happy you posted this!

@Shadow Kissed @Jamie JunkJournals - You guys who don’t like mayo flavor, probably are just like me. I couldn’t stand that flavor, and also found it too heavy and a bit nauseating, so I didn’t have any such dressing for years. And 5+yrs ago, I also started eating plant based. You guys really should try making dressings with Hellman’s VEGAN mayo - it is fantastic! It is just perfect, so much lighter and doesn’t have that mayo flavor so many can’t stand❣️I use it with a little plant milk to adjust consistency and add whatever flavor I want - it is great every time. As I said, I didn’t eat any for years, until I tried making a dressing for burgers and to dip sweet potato chips in and just tried it. I just love how they come out. One favorite is the mayo with a good squirt of BBQ sauce (tomato based w/chili, liquid smoke, molasses, sugar etc) and a little salt to taste, fab alternative to Thousand Island and Hamburger Dressing (similar to TI, but with dill). Also, add some blue cheese (or vegan replacement) to the mayo and a little plant milk, then salt/pepper to taste and blend smooth (or dissolve the cheese in a little mayo&milk first, then when it is smooth, gradually add more milk&mayo until the cheese is nicely distribuated). Adding e.g. French’s yellow mustard or other you like, and salt&pepper to taste and a dash of maple syrup, makes a delicious sauce for sandwiches and also burgers! Yum, yum, triple yum❗️❗️❗️😋 It is real easy to make vegan mayo as well, but I am so happy for Hellman’s version, so easy and convenient and keeps nicely in the fridge, often longer than you’d think, so... Check it yourself, don’t go by the date stamp, it is just a «best before». 😊

@@RussianBoy-Unit I would take that bet. I can tell the difference between several bottled ranch. Such as Kraft ranch uses to much mayo so it taste like mayo to me. not all ranch is made the same. I have tried 15+ different ranch makers when I was trying to find the ones I liked. Even hidden valley tastes different between its bottled ranch and its "ranch seasoning packs" that let you make the ranch yourself by adding milk and mayo. Kens tastes different between the bottles of ranch you buy at the grocery store and the packets you get from fast food restaurants (if i have to use premade ranch I prefer the kens packets). McDonald's Kens ranch packets tastes different from all the other Kens ranch's (I do not like it McDonald's or their ranch packs). All together I prefer the "home" ranch that most most restaurants offer in their salad bar's or on their salads. It is all about ingredients and how much of what is used that makes the taste of the dressing.

Oh my goodness. I made this yesterday.....late in the day. I did have a salad using this & I can't thank you enough for making a salad dressing I've been looking for. I'm not going to buy the store stuff any more. They all put way too much vinegar in all of them and I don't care for that much vinegar.......but if that's all you've got to choose from that's what you use. I did come up with a version of my own recipe but YOURS puts mine to shame. You said you worked really hard on perfecting this recipe & it shows. I was using it as a dip on some won ton crisps today & couldn't stop! Thank you so so much for having such a passion to share your talent with all of us. I wanted to tell you thank you very much. I stumbled across you and this video by accident. It is super cute you and your sister I love it. I made the range today and it is the first time I have made ranch dressing and it actually tastes like ranch dressing. Thank you thank you thank you! I am my husband are doing keto so I was trying to follow some keto recipes which were okay but didn't have that unique ranch taste. The only things I did different to help me with keto was instead of using regular sugar I used erythritol and believe it or not I actually took my cream and made buttermilk from scratch by making butter and using the residue for the buttermilk for the recipe. So it's been an eventful day and I feel like I've conquered the world but I am so excited I will use this all the time cuz we are big ranch people so thank you thank you thank you. Great video, I really like that you show both the fresh and refrigerated version as we see the consistency difference. You and your sister are very entertaining as well. About fresh ingredients, my mom makes a cucumber salad with cucumbers, mayo, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill and pickle juice. Over the years I've improved on it by adding fresh dill, however fresh diced onion, totally ruins it, the onion powder is far superior, and leaving the onion powder out doesn't give it that great taste. Fresh minced garlic, if you eat it the same day, is better than garlic powder, the next day they are about the same and after that garlic powder is better as the fresh garlic grows too strong. I attended a Japanese blue fin tuna cutting event and the fisherman said most people think if you have this sushi on the boat it would be the best, but in reality it wouldn't taste too good. Apparently, like a really good aged steak, tuna has to be hung for a few days to develop that great taste. So fresh is not always best. With that please continue to suggest what ingredients may be used fresh and which ones should be used as dried spices only. This alone would give your channel something others don't offer.
