He was practicing his character, which was why he looked so stern. Later he contacted me while in Beufort, SC, for a Massage. He was super kind, gave me a nice tip, and a Navy Seal Watch for my son. @david92435 ай бұрын
@@lehcaraz1 : Yeah but Sauron is a metaphor for Satan - who took residence and claimed lordship of the world. He cant do the things God can do but with the making of the Rings of power he can control and claim Gods creation (bending their will to his own). Tolkien expands on the God concept in order to reach even polytheists since Sauron are part of lower spirits to the one God (Eru) who founded and built the earth so he is disciple of the fabric of earth. In contrast to God of the bible the God in Lord of the Rings left the founding to His firstborn spirits to build

Viggo spent much of his own money to finance the movie and not only wrote the script, he directed, produced, acted, and scored the music as well as played several of the instruments. It is a passion project that took him many years to make. The movie has great reviews by the critics, and Rotten Tomatoes high score. Very few people were in the theatre when I went and almost all appeared to be over sixty! It is so sad that people only go see blockbuster animated or superhero/Star Wars type movies anymore at the theatre. I was thrilled to see Oppenheimer do so well. @liamglynch4 ай бұрын
Can I ask, and I'm genuinely curious, because the stress on the 'ú' is correct, as far as I understand it - how do you pronounce Andúril?
@ShogunEorling4 ай бұрын
@@liamglynch The "ú" is actually correctly pronounced, it's the "r" and the "il" that are not. The "r" should sound slightly heavier by pronouncing it with the tip of your tongue right behind your front teeth (hope I explained myself clearly). The "il" should sound "eel". And if we're to be strict about it Stephen made the "A" in "An" silent, almost like "Ndú--" which shouldn't be. Edit: Hugo Weaving pronounced both "Andúril" and "Narsil" very well.
@liamglynch4 ай бұрын
@@ShogunEorling ahhh, I see what you mean. Yes, you’re right. Forgive me, I thought your implied point was simply about the stressing of the ú. Yes, the harder r and the il being more like eel are how I pronounce it and had read as correct. Thanks for clarifying. In the Jackson films, even in Weaving’s pronunciation, it still seems like the a, not the ú, are stressed. As a younger man and firstly a film fan, I got so used to that, and even Viggo stresses the first syllable.
