VIGO Washroom Sink Drain

Good video! The one comment I would add is the the Vigo drain has the name Vigo printed on the pop up cap. If you have a double sink you might want to rotate the drain in the sink with the cap tightened on top before tightening under the sink to have the caps looking in the same direction.

you forgot the flange, the big 5/16” thick spacer with the o-ring in it. it sits flat under the sink, the the thick soft washer and then the retainer nut. i guess if it’s not leaking you’re happy.

You forgot to install the mounting ring that comes with it

I think you only use the mounting ring on the vessel sinks. The round sinks the sit on a counter top.

Yes, the mounting ring is only for sinks that sit above the counter. Nevertheless, a valid question.

It will not seal with plumbers putty.

That is correct. Other pop-up drains I've installed specifically tell you not to use putty. Also, that mounting ring through me for a loop on this one. Thanks for the answer to the question above. It does not say anything about that mounting ring in the directions.
