@brandonstednitz84089 жыл бұрын
+nevercallmebyname no, she mathmatically proved them
@nevercallmebyname9 жыл бұрын
How did she prove them? She said they are exactly two dimensional which means the can only be viewed as a drawing or a TV special effect or part of a video game and there for that they don't exist. How did she prove dragons?
@gen1579 жыл бұрын
+nevercallmebyname So 2D things don't exist? Where's the logic?
@nevercallmebyname9 жыл бұрын
ok, how about this way. our dimension is 3D. 2D things and 4D things cannot fully exist in our 3D dimension and thus if dragons are 2D they do not exist in our dimension which extends to mean that the ones described in heroic tales do not exist at all.
@gen1579 жыл бұрын
nevercallmebyname But until you've discovered everything in existance, you haven't disproved the existed of Dragons, either. Think of it this way. There is still no proof of God, yet there is no proof that there is no God either. Until everything is discovered, we won't know. 2D things can exist in our 3D universe, it's just we haven't found something that doesn't have thickness yet.

I've been rewatching some of your old videos (including this one) and I keep seeing you offhandedly mention something I've learned in my real analysis class.

If i could even be as half as smart and creative as Vi I could die accomplished. Goddamn woman, you're beautifully well spoken with amazing ideas and a knack for keeping even the most confused viewer enthralled. Your voice is amazing and your songs equally so, is there anything you CAN'T do?

I remember watching this video series a couple years back (still in high school) and feeling like I understood so much. I've come back after so long because of a conversation mentioning fractals earlier today, and it's incredible just seeing how much I missed. All the frustration with math education and arbitrary notation from mixed fractions to multiplication symbols to logarithms, an incredibly accurate 2D projection of a 3D projection of a 4D tetrahedron, the sheer fascination with the beauty of math, the paradoxical nature of infinity, even name dropping the "long line"... I'm fairly certain I still don't understand everything in the video, but good lord, it makes me wish I majored in math.
