I loved vik but i didn't get to stay too long unfortunately. Some a weird site when you drive down through the mountains to find that little town. I did manage to eat in the cutest restaurant Halldorskaffi. Defo will need to go back and do it your way. :)

Mariano Kowalczuk Hi buddy! Great to hear you are going to Iceland! There are buses to Vik departing everyday with Straeto but they are expensive... I usually hitchhike there for free. You just need to take a bus from the center (hlemmur) to one of the gaz stations on the ringroad just outside Reykjavik to start hitching ;) Good luck man have fun!

Mariano Kowalczuk Any questions you have, ask! It's only a pleasure! I highly recommend Nordur Vik Hostel because that is where I worked while filming this video. They have a really good breakfast but book early as they are often full! Otherwise there is Puffin hotel/hostel which is also nice and in the center! Cheers buddy 💪🏻

Your documentary of the Hatta hike is actually insanely well done. I'm going to Iceland in a month and this has convinced me to stay a day in Vik (was originally just going to drive by for a few stops and continue to Hofn area). A few questions if you don't mind tho! The trail seems to taper off quite a bit when you reached the top, is it at all straightforward to find your way to the peak or did you really have to know the area? Are there any guides you know of for this hike? I was unable to come across anything personally. Lastly, would you advise against this hike in March where the trail may be slippery? Any feedback would be amazing. Thank you!

Thganks for watching! the trail is not very straitforward, its marked but its best to go up with a local or ask for directions. In March there might be some snow so be careful by the edges. Hope you manage cheers!
