I am going to be purchasing a Yamaha Raider next spring and I loved those large odin bags in my last motorcycle but didn’t know how they were gonna be on the Raider. This video helped me so much and I am definitely getting those saddlebags again as well as the easy bracket system. Thanks so much.

I know this is an older video, but regardless, I appreciate the depth of the review. Also glad to see the bracket had a lower plate on it too, was somewhat worried about lower end sag of the bag into the belt guard/pipe. Cheers man

Good Day! The quick release kit is part #55004 and the bags are the Yamaha Raider Odin Large bags. There is no part number for them you have to drill down to them after choosing by bike, in my case the Raider . They are still holding up since posting this review! Thanks for the props!

Great review!! How tall is that sissy bar on the back? Is that the tall 12 inch? I just bought a raider with these bags in it. I need those quick release brackets!!

Ross I'm glad my review was able to help you out. Vikingbags.com is where you want to go. Once you're there you can put in the make and model of your bike choose the year but I think for the Raider it's all years. And then it'll show you every bag they make that'll fit on Raider. Look over every style you might find something there that wasn't necessarily like mine that you like even more. But keep in mind that they may make the same style bag with or without the locks so choose which type you like. Once you got the bags you like you can go to the drop down menu and you'll find hardware as a choice and there you can get your quick disconnect system if you want that. If not at that time the bags themselves came with a free hard mounting kit to if you're not concerned with taking your bags on and off the bike quickly. You'll want to go with the Yamaha Cat 1 quick disconnect system for the Raider. Right now it's going for about a hundred and forty-five bucks and the bags are about $200. I believe they are running a 20% off coupon as well so now it'd be a good time to pick em up. I hope that helps you out bro and safe rides!

I don't think believe so. Looking out on the internet I see now mention of anyone having to relocate the turn signals to install a saddlebag for any year Raider.

I stand corrected. If you go with those big gloss Harely style baggers you will have to do something with the turn signals. But when searching for bags for the Raider. The two videos I saw with them had removed the turn signals but one guy said he did not use the mounts from Viking and made his own. I suspect he didn't use the Viking mounts because Viking doesn't display those bags as an option for a Raider.

How are you liking your Viking bags after 2 years? I got some and reviewed them about 3 years ago and I'm beginning to have problems with them.

Hi Teri! The bags are holding up for the most part. I have a slight issue with the quick release on one side. has been sticking a bit. If there is anything that is noticeable is that there is a slight sagging on the rear wall wear the bag is attached. Knowing what it looked like new we would notice the sag. The bag itself still good though. What issues have you had? P. S. I saw the video you put out the other day, thank you for the kind words and there sincerity, that meant a lot to me. Folks watching out for one another... We need a lot more of that now days. Thank you.

@@POPPASHANGO I'm having problems with the quick releases sticking. I don't really use them much anymore, just the slot to hold them down. That seems to work because of that have duty velcro. I think my main issue is with the seat being a touch too wide thus not allowing me to really get the full access of the bag. Other than that they seem to be working well. I hadn't seen many others with Viking bags and wanted to ask what your experience has been. In a way, I'm almost considering putting my original bags back on but I don't want to lose the locking ability.

@@TeriAndersonAgreed on the ability to lock them. I have some old school throw over bags that have seen better days. Too long in storage and they dried out. But I actually like the look of a soft bag on a bike.
