Dan's emotions in this always brings me to tears. If you notice he looks up to heaven a few times. This is one of his Father's favorites. Dan and his Father listened to opera while riding in the car. His Father passed in 2017 and never got to see Dan build his dream.

Let’s not forget, Dan sang this in his garage studio, without a professional orchestra. He does all of the music and editing himself. He has said that he spends weeks on his computer putting it all together and doesn’t rest until he feels it’s perfect. He’s amazing.

Singers whose first language is not English often roll their “r”s like that. The English “r” is a soft, somewhat muffled sound and rolling it articulates it and brings it out in the song. It’s also very dramatic.

Dan Vasc is phenomenal. Yes, yes, yes. More Dan Vasc. He feels each song and so do we. Want more chameleon? React to Black Wind, Fire, and Steel with Luis Mariutti on bass. Then his duet with Violet Orlandi on a metal cover of Seal's Kiss From a Rose. It's better than the original, which I loved. Next, Bring Me to Life for the full metal treatment. And go acoustic with Loch Lomond. Each will blow your socks off in different ways. Just explore his over 200 covers and let us watch you discover the power of each Dan Vasc performance. You have subscribed to his channel, haven't you? I've subbed to yours so I won't miss a thing. (Yes, he does Aerosmith.) 😊

Dan's father was also a musician and gave him the harmonica you'll see him playing in some videos when he was 7. It was his first instrument. Dan's mother was an opera singer but despite this great musical pedigree it took him a while to decide to pursue music professionally. I am delighted that he did! Since you enjoyed this video you might want to also check out Fearless, Dan's heavy metal band. Their first album, Chronicles of Ancient Wisdom, is available via Dan's homepage. He has stated previously there will be new music coming from Fearless and a recent post by a sound/recording engineer talking about putting final touches on Fearless recordings leads me to believe that may happen in the not-too-distant future so keep checking Dan's homepage and/or any of the other sites he lists on his videos. Enjoy!

You said it well 👌❣️. Dan Vasc is a chameleon. I couldn't have said it better. There are so many wonderful singers, but I don't know anyone who has the same range as him. Your reactions are marvelous. I love the written comments that tell us what you're thinking without interrupting the music. And who can blame you for wanting to go back and listen to parts of it again! Dan covers all types of songs (Rock, Classical, Folk, Show Tunes) with all types of moods (serious to silly). You really can't go wrong reacting to more of his work. One of my personal favorites is his cover of "Bring Me To Life" originally by Evanescence. It's a showcase of Metal vocal techniques that is mind-blowing. It ends with an outro where you can hear Dan's normal speaking voice--not necessarily what you might expect based on his singing, but still a nice voice with a lovely Brazilian accent.

I LOVED your reaction to this, and yes, it's very obvious that you know this song quite well.. I can only say this. In my book Dan beats them all who I've heard doing this song - Pavarotti, Bocelli, Domingo, Potts, The 3 tenors of Andre Rieu - simply by adding what he does best, he LIVES every single word of the song, and pours every drop of heartblood he has into every single note. Did you notice the tears in his eyes at the end? Dan is in a league of his own, as you call him, a vocal chameleon - which is probably the best description I've ever heard. He sings everything from folksongs, disneymusic, broadway musicals, opera, and pop, to the heaviest most brutal heavy metal, and he masters every single genre like a Michelin chef masters the 5 sauces. I think you'll thoroughly enjoy jumping down and dive deep into the Dan Vasc catalogue.
