I thought Darnold was off tonight. Missed way too many open receivers. I couldn’t believe Jefferson dropped a sure touchdown, I guess he’s human after all. A win is a win, but to beat the better teams left on our schedule, we have to play better on all three phases. SKOL!!!

Yeah the commentators were talking about a hand injury I could see the balls coming out not the same this game
@derekbaker327911 сағат бұрын
I agree 100%. IMHO, Darnold was too hyped-up at the beginning of the game, over-threw the ball & didn't have good vision downfield. He did settle down after the INT, so that's a good sign, but he still didn't have his "A" game.
@mikesteelheart11 сағат бұрын
He's still playing at a top 3-5 QB level in the entire NFL which is incredible. He didn't even have a bad game it was a "good" game stat-wise.

Well not every game is perfect but they will get it together at least it wasn’t a heart attack and they blew them out. Sam needs to hit those open receivers but I’m proud of the grit they showed they made mistakes but didn’t look back.
@davedinaso122810 сағат бұрын
Considering it was 4th down, the interception was more of a desperation toss that actually benefitted the Vikings. If The pass is not picked, the Bears get the ball at the line of scrimmage but instead they start back at their own 15. There was no reason not to throw it up for grabs to avoid a sack with pressure in his face.

THIS DEFENSE.
@jaywysard10 сағат бұрын
The defense looks just kind of whatever at times, but...teams have a really, really hard time scoring on them. The other guys may seem like they're doing OK, but you look up and they have 6 points at half time. Or, the D will give up yardage, but they keep changing looks so much that it puts a lot of pressure on QBs and they eventually snap: they panic and make a bad play. It's happened a lot this year. That's all BF and his designs...the guy is unreal. Meanwhile, the offense is similar in that they'll look bad or stale in stretches, but they have so many weapons and schemes that eventually they break down a defense. And lately in the fourth quarter, it seems like they're able stay steady, not do anything stupid and score when needed. 21 4Q points last week and 10 this week. And that's KOC. The question is, do they have enough to go all the way? I think so...maybe. But they really need to be perfect in the playoffs. We'll see.

1. I agree 100% with what Andy said. Yes....KOC *is* the COTY....and yes....Kwesi A-M *is* the EOTY! [ BTW, Aikmann & Buck totally failed to give credit to KOC for his *many* great skills as a HC, what he has done for, and done with, Flores, and much much more!] 2. I also agree with Andy that this Vikings team & coaching staff CAN win the SB, but only if our LT, LG & C get their sh*t together, pronto! Some people view statements like this as too negative when the team is 12-2 and just beat the Bears by two TDs, but - as a 50+ year fan of the Vikes, I think it's fair for me to say that the Vikings faithful have to be realistic regarding this team's chances in the playoffs: So, here's my assessment of the Vikes going into the final three tough games & then the playoffs: (a) With the newbies getting more time in the middle of the DL & making some good plays, I am less concerned about our iDL, but our DBs are still weak against outside runs & passes (can't get off blocks & make a good tackle) (b) Three fifths of our OL have been downright awful...and the iDL has been sub-standard all season, so it's not just the Darrisaw injury. What's frustrating is that, IF the OL gives Darnold time, Darnold will thread the needle to our very talented receivers, just as we saw with that all-pro quality throw & a catch between Darnold & JJ...the one that got the Vikes to the 1 yd line. (c) Our defence IS good enough to win a championship IF it's healthy AND the offence can score 30+ points. However, the Vikes will outscore their opponents only if Darnold doesn't have pass rushers in his face all game * the Vikes have too many 3-and-outs.

Games against your Divisional rivals are always tough regardless of their record. The Bears nearly defeated the Vikings in their first meeting in Chicago and IF NOT for clock mismanagement at Detroit, the Bears could have defeated the Lions on Thanksgiving. A year ago, the Bears defeated the Vikings on MNF in Minnesota and in their next game after a bye week, they defeated the Lions at home.

12 - 2 and evening up with the Lions and a very good possibility that the Vikings could finish atop of the NFC North. Darnold has brought them to this point. He has got the Vikings into the playoffs. I remember when Darnold was playing for the Panthers some years back and all of his time there I felt the Panthers had a ho hum attitude of him. The Panthers soon traded him to San Francisco. That was a mistake for the Cats. I thought at first he was a mediocre filler in quarterback after Cam Newton departed, a QB that is, for the interim until the panthers could find a great QB. After watching him for a few games I thought to myself, this guy is quite steady, constant, and confident, a pretty good quarterback. The Panthers need to keep him. I cannot understand to this day, why the Panthers let Darnold go. Anyway, our loss and the Vikings gain. I always like Darnold and am happy he is doing great things in Minnesota. And his supporting cast of course made his success possible. Three games left and all of them a more substantial stiff test for the Vikings. A sweep of all three games yet is possible if the Vikings are hyped up for the challenge. They have to play better than these past few weeks. Though. Anyway whatever the outcome, the season is turning out to be a stellar success and once its over its a wrap. As they say in Hollywood. A fabulous fairy tale wrap for the Viking's story. With the cinderella Darnold directing the show.
