That 23rd Dec 1970 League Cup semi-final - I was there too in the Witton End, amongst I think 55000 others. That was my first ever match.

First game I ever went to was the AFC Bournemouth FA Cup game 2015, when Carles Gil scored that screamer and the atmosphere for me was something I’ll never forget, best ever time was the 2019 Play off final at Wembley and the noise was electric, and also when I was mascot vs Millwall and had the pleasure with walking out with Jack Grealish, a day I’ll never forget. I love this place, many memories made and long may they continue

Villa beating Liverpool in 1976 5/1, unfortunatly the game was a midweek game and was never televised.. Bad memory was the Friendly against Rangers, the same year (match abandoned) UTV

Unfortunately Villa's own 'Dr No', Chris Heck has cancelled the redevelopment . In hindsight Purslow was a man of vision like Rinder, Ramsey etc.

First visit to Villa Park in 1947 aged six. My father thought that 1st division crowds were too great for a young girl so it was a Central League game and we stood in the Trinity Road enclosure - no seating. My biggest disappointment was not being allowed to go Wembley for the FA Cup final in 1957. My friends from school and I had stood behind the goal, where the North Stand is now, to be as close as possible to our hero Nigel Sims. There was the time in December 1976 , an evening match, when Villa had scored five before half time against Liverpool. After that I moved away from Birmingham with my young family and got to see fewer matches. My five year old daughter told her teacher " Mummy is always bad tempered if Villa lose." She was correct.
