Come and join us in the village; spend some quality time being a local.
On this episode we discuss more about how we will sustain ourselves on Pico Island, Azores. We share with you about expanding our Canadian travel business by specializing more on Pico; one of the north Atlantic islands of Portugal. We will customize and promote various travel packages to the island of Pico and the other islands of the Azores.
Visited Aldea da Fonte; One of the first hotels built on Pico island. had a wonderful lunch at their restaurant. We did some grocery shopping, went on a refreshing ocean swim, ran into two cute baby goats and cooked dinner.
Come with us to one of the main churches in the village of Lajes; Carlos also got baptized here. Laura started working on the garden; its a work in progress.

We live in Madeira and are thinking about purchasing an investment property that we will also use. Are there enough tourist during the winter months that will make it a worthwhile investment?

Just to make sure; you're saying that you are considering buying a investment home in the Azores...correct? More and more tourists are coming to the Azores in the off season, The key is to structure the vacation rental offer properly; price it correctly, market beyond the usual booking platforms. I'm hoping to do a few videos touching on this subject. Take care!

Hi Dan! Most of our lunches fall between 5 to 10 euros per person; it really depends on what you are having. Just yesterday Laura and I had a burger, chicken sandwich, fries and 4 mini beers; total cost for both if us 13 euros. I would say this is the average for us!!! Cheers! Stay safe!
