I hope you make a permanent save before the 40s begin, just to preserve the beautiful pre-war state of the city.

Oh boy last 1930's episode, i'm wondering how far you're willing to go with the 1940's destruction.

I'm glad you like my asset (the church)! I'm honored to have an asset at such a prominent position in arguably the best European Cities Skylines city. Indeed, in real life, this church is oriented more or less north, as are many in Zagreb from the time period (1920s - 1940s). I really like how the neighborhood of villas turned out, and the entire city captures incredibly well the spirit and urban planning of ex-Austro-Hungarian, German and Polish cities.

i love how altengrad is realistically sized, it genuinely doesnt look scaled down from real life, for a small european city. Good job Akruas!!!

You could assume that while a capital city, it is one of a very small nation, such as Lichtenstein (but a little more eastern/central)

Hello Akruas. Maybe few years ago I started watching S:C bulding videos. I have watched Two Dollars, Fluxtrance, Strictoaster and now it's all looking boring, but Altengrad city and Aurelia is fantastic. This is still really interesting to watch and deep thinking about design. Thanks.

Hey Akruas, when you move into the 1940s, I hope you do the city in a run-down, post battle state. If you do go for the battle state, don't forget to think tactically, what points would be most fought over, and what places would be destroyed? The train system would be an important strategic location. The bridges would be too, although many are likely to be destroyed in the fighting. Notable hills are also good strategic locations. The destruction should mostly focus on places that would be most heavily fought over, or routes between each location. At least, that's what I think would be happening.

I can feel this 30's atmosphere, you did such a good job But I'm curious if this city is in the eastern or western part of Germany (because it is in germany I believe). It would have big impact at the future architecture of the city. I think that seeing some commie buildings in cities skylines would be something interesting ;)
@qzg78573 жыл бұрын
He said many times that it is not in a particular country. He is from Czech Rep. And Altengrad is mostly based on his expirience. In some episodes he mentioned Prague, Krakow and some German cities. It is certainly Central European city. If we will base this on his expirience i would assume that city will be on communist side. But i would love to see a border with west and east in Altengrad. But it is only my wish
@Wilhelmrozmaryn3 жыл бұрын
I'd say he's more inspired in Prague, although in this particular case, this neighbourhood definitely looks like one in Kraków. So I think we'll see commie blocks
