Villiers MK12 Stationary engine restoration - barn find

Villiers mk12 Stationry engine restoration barn find been in a shed since the 70s and never used. So i have decided to see if it will run but am doing a compleat restoration. Not to sure what colour to do the cowling in.

It looks like the flywheel nut is meant to also serve as a flywheel puller, very clever.

You have to set the points gap 1st, then take the head off to got the correct 3/16 1/8 btdc ( check with the manual or look on line for the specs,)on the compression stroke , then turn the flywheel so the pointsare just opening , and tighten the flywheel,

Love your video, Stefan - I have a MK10 and went through similar process trying to get the cowl off, but it is still rock solid even though it appears I've removed all screws etc. Any tips on how to remove this? Cheers, Dave
