I bought this lens 2 weeks ago. It's an awesome lens for landscape photography! There was a 10 - 15 second delay for the Z9 to recognized the lens. There is a firmware update & the problem was fixed!

Purchased this lens a few months ago for real estate photography and videography. It's especially useful for video in low-light situations. I would have preferred it if Nikon had an alternative, but it's difficult to argue with the value proposition.

question. when shooting video for homes . is ur ibis off? i feel like shooting without ibis produces more natural picture. i don’t like what going on in the corners when ibis is on.

@Vahagraphy I have not tried switching off IBIS, but all my video has been shot using a DJI RS4 gimbal, which would complicate the comparison.

Vahagn: I bought this lens after hearing recommendations from some fellow shooters here in NJ. I really appreciated that it's a 16 mm super wide and at its price point, and Nikon NOT offering a competitive lens in this focal length, bought it. I do NOT regret the purchase and use it on my Zf and Z9.

Really nice build quality. The lens has a pretty good design but I just don't understand why Viltrox insists on putting that ugly bright red badge on it. Does anyone even know what those letters mean?
