Thanks! Don't worry, I absolutely haven't been listening to those cock wobbles. However, the outfit choice was decided upon as it fit better with the style of the shoot, which is more important to me than actively trying to give the subs a boner 😂

I don't understand why the video AF on the Viltrox seems to do just fine but in photo mode a ton of the shots are out of focus.

There's a fairly big difference in what is required of the lens and camera when shooting in video mode vs photo. In video mode, the AF just needs to track the subject as it moves around the frame. In photo mode, it needs to react quickly in between each photo to ensure that the focus is in the right place ready for the next shot. It has much less time to react and the focus HAS to be bang on otherwise it's super noticeable. Video is far more forgiving, which is why a lot of lenses struggle in photo mode but are better in video mode.

I think you are mistaken. The body gets cold to touch, which is the typical tell tale sign that it's metal. Also, it's listed as having a dust and moisture resistant design on the Sony website: www.sony.co.uk/electronics/camera-lenses/sel35f18f#product_details_default
