Honestly pretty in sane the lethality of that weapon. The gas killed them in less then 30 secs while then it could be broken down again. The lethality of a nuke with out the after effects.

I felt bad for them - I was 14 when I first saw this in theatres in August, 2002...no matter how man times I watch this scene, I STILL feel bad for them - especially the mice in the cage (I always felt bad for them, as well) - those poor little things never had a chance to live...sorry for getting all worked up.
