This guy is envolved in way too much drama for it to be just bad luck. Ama needs to start flagging guys off the lap before they are lapped and they can finish in the position they are flagged off in. To many awesome races ruined by guys who have no chance in winning.
@kmac720

This is how it works in most cycling races. You get lapped you get pulled. At the very least if you get lapped a second time you should get pulled. (Which would have meant Friese wouldn't lapping anyone to cause this incident.)

Yes I think they need to start flagging guys off the track when getting lapped also. Thin the field out can’t have a clown like Friese in the way like he is every race . SX speeds and obstacles have evolved over the years . More dangerous than its ever been, AMA needs to seriously address this subject.

Shouldn’t have to be roller derby or bumper cars for top riders. Get the slower guys out of the way for safety sake . So be it if it’s down to 5 riders . Might show some guys they are not Pro Caliber level like Friese ?? How has he got this far ??? But a guy like him is going to cripple someone.

@@marksvideochannel3592 I disagree. Actually the flagmen get the call via radio. Whoever makes the call can push the button. Also they can eventually make it automatic, base on the transponders data. Anyway, even if it is for top riders it is still positive. Were there any incidents between the 15th lapping the 20th.
@Maczust63
@Maczust63 3 жыл бұрын
@@marksvideochannel3592 its not a new problem. If you have ever raced in the game MX simulator you will understand how easy it would be to implement it. Every corner and jump you would have a timing gate that would sense the transponder passing through it. If you are two laps down then you would get a black flag and get the hell off the track. Every time the leader or someone is lapping you the transponder would just show you went throw the timing gate just before the leader then you would get the blue light on the bars based on timing with the gates. Like this is a thing in video games and its not hard to implement that in real life. Timing gate would also be able to tell off track time due to missing timing gates so you can doc time for off track.

I think the biggest problem stems with the flagging, as we have guys waving the blue flag when the leaders are nowhere near the rider being lapped. That trains these guys to not take it seriously. Also no penalties is a problem, riders taking advantage of the blue flag to pass guys on the same lap need to be punished. AMA/FELD needs to get their shit together and the riders will follow suit. For years these guys have been dealing with certain guys not taking the blue flag seriously, if they watch that happen over and over with no punishment eventually nobody takes it seriously and we have this stuff happening.

@JWPshenigans
@JWPshenigans 3 жыл бұрын
The only problem I see in that is when a top 5 guy wrecks early on he loses the opportunity to make up time. I think first they need to explore other ways to get the message to lappers to move first. Once those all fail then start pulling lappers off the track. Or maybe start pulling guys who are being lapped a second time.

If i was getting lapped my hed was down hiting my lines there job to pass me and move around my line i chose as they are making the pass. I had a rider line up in the wrong race that t boned me 3 turns from the finish on last lap i was leading the race and championship finished 5th that nite bc of him. Watched track vid and he ran off track ran straight across track 2 thirds of the track and took me out. I was ready to fight. Im not sure he wasnt paid to do this bc when i confronted him he was scared and acted like he had no clue it happened then never showed up to the track again.
