I had the very good fortune of being at the Vince Gill & Friends Ryman show many years ago, and his Guitar Slinger record hadn’t yet come out but was about to. Vince said “I’m gonna play one off the new record.” Sat on a stool and played “Bread & Water” for what he said was the first time ever. I’ve seen countless shows at The Ryman, and have yet to experience that kind of silent respect for an artist. It was UNREAL!

Vince, this is a moving tribute to your dear brother. Your voice is achingly beautiful and so heartfelt. You shall see Bob again Vince, what a wonderful reunion that will be! I haven't seen my dear mother in fifty one years. I think about her everyday. I miss her so much! I believe Bob is looking down on you from heaven.
