I think Vince’s main point is that Taylor Swift should not be the only major artist advocating for smaller artists’ rights, especially while black artists are not being prioritized by the labels. Vince hasn't made no back end money fans are not listening or buying his music that's why he still owes that advance he had from the label and didn't sell many copies as a Drake or a Kendrick when he signed the 360 deal 13 years ago. It really wasn’t that deep, that’s his perspective and his focus. The biggest rappers in the game “beefing” is great for music and hip hop, any successful release that gets that much attention is, no shit. They’re literally doing their job as artists. Failed to realize both teams get paid to create, push and work all the diss tracks, even Kendrick made it so KZbinrs can monetize They Not Like Us. People ate off those releases. The internet and music is like broadcasting, anything that gets eyes creates revenue so it’s not just two dudes arguing and that’s a dumb take coming from a supposed rapper.

This been obvious for years. Ive seen it go down that route, i noticed it early on, tried getting ahead of it - couldnt - so i stopped trying. Im leaving the music industry behind for good. No artist should try to get any deals or get into this weird ass trash system. If they dont wanna pay artists, lets not give em artists. I think its time artists stop being desperate for attention. Artists need to start putting some respect on the art. Stop selling yourself. Stop selling your music to labels. Stop giving them anything for that matter. Ignore them. I had contact with big label reps over the span of years. They wanted to sign me so badly but they would try to manipulate me into feeling helpless without them, and acted like my opinions and the respect i asked for was too much. Meaning: they never plan on treating you right. Never. They want to own you and take everything you got from you. Dont be stupid enough to buy into it just because they put a bunch of cash on the table. I damn near spazzed on them when they offered me all that money because i felt disrespected as an artist. They asked for full ownership of my persona. Lol gtfoh
