Thanks man for making this! My major takeaway is the "Next attack" interactions like Juggernaut (negative) and Killmonger (possibly positive). Also the card interaction with the Grunts is something a lot of people don't see coming and will cause a lot of talkthrough in events lol

I only wear the eye patch while playing shield. So I’ve got it on during all the examples.

Hey Vince, in the Killmonger example, i dont understand why it matters whether you charge/attack/Eye/move/attack or move/attack/Eye/charge/attack. We wind up with one successful 7 dice attack either way.

It doesn’t ultimately matter which way you do these. But it helps set up the lesson that if you can lose the first move you have countered eye in the sky completely.

Thanks, Vince. I agree the hardest part of using Eye in the Sky is the power on Nick, especially early. I always want to activate him early so the grunts can grab and objective. Sounds like I should be waiting to see if my opponent will put someone in walk + rng 3 for the Fury Special. Hawkeye dazing characters on their activation is a favourite of mine and has generated so much salt.

Nick like most powerful pieces in the game is really great at the top or bottom of the round. And going first or last with him is so full of if then statements that it becomes almost impossible to talk about in the abstract.

Hi! New player here. In your example with the beam attack and Nick moving out of the way, does the beam attack still hit the Howling Commandos or is it somehow completely stopped and not refunded because of Eye in the Sky? My guess is that it still hits the Commandos but I would like to be sure since I'm just learning how to play SHIELD and there is so much to think about. =)

I'm curious. Has MCP become like Heroclix? Where you don't pay the fun cool characters, you play what's dull but wins games?

I guess it kind of depends on your definition of dull. With 1 exception all the strong characters are mechanically interesting. If you want the exciting in the movies characters avengers has always been floating around the top 5 factions and webs are currently the best. But what characters are dull is very much a matter of taste.

DO NOT grab double hammers with fury(1 fury and 1 on grunts) if you want to play eye in the sky, you will spend most of the game being sad, cause it costs 4 now and is really hard to get off.
