Oh god I have that Hannah Montana game. Back in 2006, my aunt bought it for me since she doesn't know anything about video games and just went "what would a little girl want?" Unfortunately my entire childhood was like this, so I never got any of the good games, just shovelware like this because I was a girl; even worse is that I'm now nostalgic over these games. Eugh.

Same. The only good game I had on my DS as a kid was Super Mario 64 DS. All the other games I had were stuff like High School Musical 3, or the crappy Imagine games. My mom used to yell at me that I never used my DS despite how much I wanted it, but it was because of all these girly shovelware games she bought me. It wasn't until I bought some real games that I actually enjoyed using my DS.

I feel like moms in the 80s started that nonsense "look these games are for boys, I mean what girl would wanna play legend of Zelda or super Mario you play as boys in those after all!" So in the early 2000s you had devs start making "girl games". It's a good thing we have gotten over the whole "if you play as a boy it's for boys" thing, tons of males and females love Zelda and Mario! Hell I know some women who play star trek online and we hammer out advance and elite ques and no I don't carry them they contribute equally.
