Whenever Vinny decides to do Violence, I _highly_ advise he spend at least a few layers de-rusting, because Violence is a significant upgrade in difficulty over Heresy. The levels are awesome, in gameplay, visuals, and music; Hakita really outdid himself, and it would suck to kill the vibe by eating shit for an hour and getting frutarted.

Swordsmachine, Mindflayers, Malicious Faces, Cerebus, Hideous Masses, and even Virtues and probably a few other enemies I forgot about, Ultrakill often makes the player face one initially. I never really appreciated the value of that until watching this stream and another stream of someone coming back to the game after having not played it for a while and immediately jumping to the last level they can enter.

Schisms and new enemies in layer 7 (not spoiling for safety) are also introduced singly. Ferrymen and Insurrectionists too, but they aren't really that common like Cerberi, only Insurrs are somewhat comparable with 4 fights, same as Hideous Masses (not counting Prime Sanctums, cuz then Insurrs would be more common). Other fellas are introduced in pairs (or triplets for Stalkers, Soldiers and Filth, and while excluding one enemy type). Not throwing a bunch enemies at the player does help understanding how they work

Proboosting really requires a different mindset towards the shotgun. You have to train yourself to perceive the shotgun as being two different guns in one, and be able to instinctively "switch" weapons in your mind, between the traditional shotgun, and a long-range, perfectly-accurate explosive rifle.

@KitsuneDzelda Hate to be that guy, but that's simply not true that angels are usually depicted like that. As far as I know, the only mention in the entire Bible of angels taking those wacky non-human wheel forms is in Ezekiel, and in pretty much every other mention of them they appear as glowing human-ish forms. Like in Luke 2:10, where the angels appear to the shepherds to tell them about the birth of Jesus and say that "be not afraid" line, the original Greek translation just says "the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they feared with great fear." Because they felt God's glory, not because they were wheels with eyes. I'm not sure what specific verse you're talking about where an angel talks to Mary in the tomb of Jesus, but if it's John 20:12-14, at least in the original Greek it just describes the angels as having human forms, one sitting and one standing, and they ask Mary why she's weeping, and she replies that it's because the body of Jesus is gone from the tomb and she doesn't know where it is.

Hype to see you play Ultrakill. I saw this upload and went to watch the earlier parts. In either those or this one you mentioned the pistol being kind of weak. In the first set of levels, 1-1 to 1-4, the serene looking fake levels, there's a hidden switch in each part that unlocks a variant for the pistol in 1-4 that's slower but stronger. Might be nice for the charge pistol or the spinning pistol. Also iirc some actions will fill your missing health with grey health that can't be healed. One cause is grappling enemies towards you so that's something to be wary of when you're missing health.
