17:21 - Just to clear things up, the relationship between Miyamoto and Plok is as follows: Ste and John Pickford showed this game to Nintendo to see if they'd be interested in publishing it. Miyamoto really liked it, but since they were close to releasing Yoshi's Island at the time, Nintendo ultimately decided the two were too similar to publish at the same time. That's it. Any rumors of inspiration/theft this game might have had are very much unfounded. Miyamoto was impressed with the soundtrack, but I'm not sure where the "he wanted it checked" thing came from.

The amount of B-Grade mascots that have been released over the years is insane, but I really appreciate having them around. Makes the game industry a lot more colorful. The Plok story is absolutely true. The music was done by Tim Follin, who is an absolute wizard with old sound chips. The people who made the things didn't even know how he made them do what he did. He made the music for NES Silver Surfer, Solstice, and NES Pictionary. All his tunes are prog anthems, wich sound great for the tech they're playing on, but he caught a lot of flak, since they almost never sound right for the game they're playing in, so he no longer composes for games.
