I love the way the game tries to trick you into thinking you’re a bad guy, and depending what you choose to do you can make it actually true- but by having faith that the demons are deceiving you and the lord is with you, you get the good ending. Super compelling concept

I feel like they worked better in the first game, honestly. Sure, they're still kind of unsettling, but now that they're established as a facet of the game's style, you lose a lot of the shock value that was really prominent in the first scene where Amy rises up at the foot of the bed.

Mutant Octopus Id say keep it for the scenes with demonic entities (like the possessed Michael, the demon nun and whatever the hell that face bleeding thing in the sewers was) so you could keep the “Demonic Entities actively breaking the retraux visual medium” angle, but cut out the ones with humans (John waking up, stabbing himself with the key, the cultists stabbing you, the last scene of the Initiation ending).

This game's theme seems to be similar in some ways to eternal darkness in the way that you don't even know if your character is sane or not, or if he's dreaming or not, while being surrounded by a world that calls him crazy and supernatural occurences that threaten the lives of everyone around them, and to be honest it's the sickest shit ever, I was not expecting to like this at all but the thematic and the narration just hit the spot for me, thank you for this game Airdorf. You can't hide from god.

I don't think I've ever heard Vinny get legitimately freaked out by a game before. He did mention that he was scared by The Exorcist, and that's one of the movies that's amplified by how you perceive the idea of it.

I think the game on pillons got graphically simpler, and that the fnaf mini games kinda also did that if you're talking just graphics wise, but faith has some really good stuff to It, another game has something similar but It's played only with a shotgun, then I remember some other games like world of horror though I think this one's more complex, there's NES/Sega genesis games with heavy horror elements but they're less simple somehow while arguably less complex or effective

Airdorf, keep up the good work, Faith is such a good product. The story is compelling, and it holds some cards close to its chest BUT doesn't give that annoying feeling of having holes in it. The look of the game was such a strong choice, i never thought an atari-like would give me legit scares and such a strong sense of terror. The atmosphere and tension-building is artfully done, and even the length of each chapter is perfectly paced imo. So yeah, keep it up Airdorf! So excited for Chapter III

Honestly, yeah it seems like it. He has so much somber seriousness in his voice sometimes when playing this. Sure he still cracks jokes, but it's rarely you see him so unnerved and enthralled as he is in this stream in particular. I'd probably say that's due to a combination of his upbringing and the game itself being extremely well made horror, though, rather than one or the other.

The sewer tunnel segment around 54 minutes in really struck me, I found myself thinking about how the character looked cute waddling around in the linear path before linking with the note read just before, our mc is quite literally defenceless if It wasn't for the fact he had faith and that the creatures play a game that he abide the rules of, every one shot kill is very much a reminder of that, he's a brave one, that and his faith are his greatest strenghs

I kind of feel like this didn't need to be a game with a bunch of different parts but I'm fine with it, but I wish Michael would be more present in the story. I assume he's gonna be more significant later or something but he's the one I'm most interested in, especially after the "confession" part which I thought was really cool because you can totally recognize his voice! (unless it's not him in which case the dev needs to find more voices) Also I love how most of these demons will destroy you the instant that they get a chance but then there's the one who's like "ohh don't move and I won't get ya!" and then just leaves. Having a second supposed "priest" was great too and I really like that we still don't know who John really is or isn't.
