the thing is you can show lots of these kids Vinnie, Shawn (Lane that is) and lots of other great players and they still won't appreciate them, as they don't fit the "Rockstar image" they've been brainwashed with by the media and magazines... You see, Lane was overweight and Vinnie ain't pretty enough for them. IT's not even about the music or playing ability anymore, it's all superficial shit like having the right haircut and wearing the right clothes or having the guitar hanging down to their knees...it's really sad but very true

Vinnie’s old instructional video was the only one of those old tapes that i learned anything from as a young man....he actually explained things instead of just shredding...great player.

I meant Vinny in the early 90s when he had Zakk Wylde bass player JD on tour with him. We hung out in the club after the show and Vinny and the rest of the band were all super cool. Also it was an awesome guitar night. But yeah super nice guys man was a lot of fun

Imagine seeing this and just ...scrolling on...not realizing that VM's brilliance is in the way he composes with such licks. This man cannot be fully appreciated without digging in to his various and versatile albums. Interesting to see his magic under a microscope, but seriously, even the casual fanboys need to stop talking about Minds Eye and so much and listen to more of his work which explore different styles and approaches in near unbelievable variety. Peace.

@@hideentity1518 , yes. I was wrong saying that only one album is good. But the first is the best. The same with MacAlpine, the first is great.
@hideentity15183 жыл бұрын
@@carlosgonzales5897about Macalpine i thought the same. And yes his maximum security is best of the best neoclassical. But he have two more others good records. Just need to listen.

I miss the old Vinnie Moore, the Mind´s Eye Vinnie. After that he became boring.
