I first discovered Vinnie in the mid 80's from a guy who worked at a local music store here in Montreal. I wish I could find that guy and buy him a beer because it was the best suggestion for music anyone could have given me. Thanks, Vinnie - you're awesome!

Vinnie Moore is one of the most underrated guitarist. His playing is incredible, not sure why he never got the recognition that others of his era got. Keep rockin' Vinnie!💪💯

I’ve been a fan of his playing for years. His instructional vids were legendary. Saw Vinnie when he was playing with UFO. He was so gracious with all the fans outside the tour bus. There was one part during the show when I made I contact with him and motioned to him I wanted a guitar pick. He ran to his amp to quickly get me a pick which was super cool. Awesome dude!

The most eloquent of the neo classical era, I use some of his pivoting licks from the first hot licks video to this day… Minds Eye and especially Time Odyssey have a place in my heart forever.

This man is one of the most versatile guitarist and song artists out there. Each album is uniquely full of passion, fire, melodic content, intelligent song structures and sincere playing all around. You can't judge him by one or two albums period. One of the few "super shredders" who excels as a composer and instrumental story teller. Love and light.

I BEGGED my hardcore Ukrainian/Yugoslav-ex Commie father to let my older brother borrow the car to drive me midweek ( 2 hours away and back!) to see Vinnie in Melbourne to his Fender-Heartfield Guitar Clinic! I was 16 and poor, kicked out of school and unemployed.....but my Dad said yes! I'll never forget that night, we actually bought him gifts from our hometown, local music store t-shirt, etc. . . .Thank you Vinnie Moore for inspiring the young and old for many decades, and many decades to come!

Loved Vinnie Moore's playing ever since hearing him the first time in the excerpt from "Message In A Dream" in Guitar Player Flexi-disc back in `88. Phenomenal player. Interesting to see him back to Kramer guitars. I really like the lower cutaway on this one, deeper than in regular Pacers. Wonder if Kramer would be up to releasing this as his signature model at some point.

Great work here. Like many, i saw the Pepsi commercial but didn't know who played. Changed with VR's Soldiers Of The Night. Read Vinnie cut all the solo's in a day. Lots of Shrapnel here. This remains a fave. Some solo albums. last "Out Of Nowhere". Great. Even my wife liked it! Extended family sees UFO with Vinnie.This is like 15 years ago. They loved this little club style gig. Gave them OON CD to them. They dug that, too.

It is sad that Ibanez didn't reissue Vinnie's model. They should.
@GenericSpace Жыл бұрын
I had an old Ibanez Blazer that I beat against my anvil until it became firewood because they used a "barrel jack" in those and if-and-WHEN that jack went out, there was no fixing it. You absolutely had to spend a lot of money buying another one then go through the hideous effort of soldering it into that tiny cavity with no room to work etc. etc. In hindsight, I probably should've just sold the guitar or even given it away but meh, I did have fun using it like a baseball bat. Shortly after that, I bought my first-and-only Strat and decided I was done with Ibanez.

Vinnie's modes in B video really made the 7 years '91-98 of the first 7-string (for $3,000!) worth having... I thought that he used an FRT-3 and went with that on my own 3/4 "mini series" (after the EVH of "Hot for teacher" that I did for him in '84)! I never met him in Hollywood around MI but kept listening to the essentials which included him... Now I have to wonder if Kramer still does the 1 3/4" wide nut, I had an early Voyager with it (and always wanted that with the 2 1/4" heel for a Vintage spaced trem)!

Ironically, I was introduced to his music by my highschool pal Ira Black, who went on to play with Vinnie's old band "Vicious Rumors" for a bit. 🤣 Ira introduced me to a lot of incredible guitarists music and got me into playing Metal guitar.
